Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Hi All,

I hope you all will be good. I am a silent reader on this blog. I sponsored my wife in last April 2014. Application forwarded to London in June. In January 2015 they asked me for additional documents and then i received an email from Delhi immigration regarding medical (just Xray) in April 2015. The medical is been done in early May and now on 30 May my status says ''Decision Made''. My question is that how long it takes for passport request after decision is been made. Please if someone has same scenario then do let me know. Thanks

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Hello Everyone,

I am sponsoring my wife from Pakistan and she is in the process of collecting the required documents listed in the general guide for Asia.

As the guide states that the original educational documents are required such as transcripts, and certificates. My wife is currently in her last year of studies and her university does not issue the official transcripts till the degree is completed. She has tried to obtain it but her university has refused to give her the transcript and told her it will take a while. Therefore, they issued her an official letter of proof that is a current student at the university since 2012 and she has completed certain number of courses. However, my wife DOES have complete certificates and transcripts records for her previous schooling (Such as GCE O and A levels certificates and transcripts).

So my question is whether CIC will raise any concerns about this issue as to why she didn't include her current transcript from her university (and thus causing delays in the processing). I would really appreciate your guys help in this matter and any feedback as to what I should do. Thanks again!

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

No there shouldn't be any concerns. Just add originals of previous education like i did. No concerns at all. Also its good that you are adding a letter from university. All originals will be shipped back to you after they scanned it and start processing your application. Best of luck. I live in edmonton too.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

No concern. CPC Mississauga will do a basic check for docs.
I didn't have all my wife's educational docs either. I was missing her master's degree.
Don't cause any further delay. Make sure you can check the checklist for required docs.
You can submit the missing educational docs when you get them. You will have lots of time.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE.... QUESTIONS

These are stats I calculated from the last 10 entries on the spreadsheet.
I have to emphasize these are normal processing times. There are always exceptions (i.e. additional docs requested, missing re-med email, incorrectly filled forms, etc).

How long does it take for Sponsor Approval?
Normally, 2 to 3 months (Check CIC website for current stats)

How long does it take for re-med request after sponsor approval?
Normally, 7 to 9 months (this is the painful part of the process)

How long does it take for Decision Made in ECAS after a remed request
Normally, 1 to 3 months for DM after Re-med request

How long does it take for a Passport Request after DM in ECAS?
Normally, 1 to 3 weeks

How long does it take for Passport return with COPR?
Normally, 1 to 2 weeks

If you want to know EXACTLY where you are in the PROCESS then order GCMS notes.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Hello Everyone,

I am a new member to this forum. I needed some information regarding the time period.

I applied for my wife (from Pakistan) sponsorship last week. We got our Nikkah done last year in May 2014 and it took me about one year to gather all the documents from A-Z and I left no documents for later to be sent to CIC. Now my question is, will that create a red flag in my case?

Please note I have sent quiet a few docs to Prove my relationship until may 2015 with her such as Whatsapp chat history, call history, skype sessions, western union stuff, receipts for mobile credit sent to her ufone number using World Remit service, pictures from my 3 trips made to Pakistan between the span of a year. Also, I did not send them history for each month or day for the docs I just mentioned but sent them with gaps between months. So for example for Skype, I sent snapshot of july then october then January etc instead of each month.

Please also not that my case is a Nikkah only case.

I also labelled clearly each proof document I sent and organized it so as to make their process easier.

Please let me know how does all that sound.

Thanks,
Hassan

Sent a case inquiry on 15th of May, & this is what I got today from LVO.

Dear Applicant,
We are writing with regards to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
This file is still in queue for review. We will therefore be in touch in due course when/if we require further documentation.
My timeline is on the side.
I guess no one can say/suggest much after reading this eh?
My reaction was WTF!!!!
I think there is some problem with APRIL .. FOR ME I AM APRIL 2013 APPLICANT , STILL IN QUEUE FOR REVIEW IN ISLAMABAD.. :(

Hi fellow Edmontonian :), yes original documents are required but only documents which can proof her education are required nothing special. So if you got a official letter from the university along with it attach some semester's mark-sheets and the letter which you get on admission (can't remember its name) that would be enough to proof that she is part of ongoing education. Also other educational documents (O A levels ) etc would need to be attached too.

No these are just evidences to proof the education status of the applicant and do not pose any threat of delaying the application whatsoever.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

How to know - other than contacting LVO - that Decision Made mean approved or (God Forbids) rejected? :o

After re-medicals, no other correspondence from LVO. No PPR, no additional documents etc.
