Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

So finally received something from LVO today. My status and everything is same they have given me 45 days for this document. I would try to do it as soon as possible though. They have asked the following:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:
Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature. The Schedule A form you submitted has gaps in your Personal History since the age of 18 (Question 8 ). Please provide your activity from September 2008 to January 2009 and from April 2014 to present.

I don't know why they asked it, as there is nothing special in my wife's history just bachelors, 1 to 1.5 years work and marriage.
So should I include a cover letter telling them about my wife's pregnancy.?? or just stay with what they have asked and just wait patiently for the rest of the process.??

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Hello everyone. I am New to the forum. Could someone kindly help me with a few questions?

I live in canada and i am a canadian citizen. I got married in february 2015 in pakistan, but my husband has been living and working in UAE for the past 3 years. I was told that i could not sponsor my husband from UAE since he is not a UAE citizen . Does this mean that i would need to sponsor him from pakistan?

I am really confused. I dont know from where to start. I know that i have to fill in the applicatiom, but do i need to send everything like the Nikah Nama, Pictures, Phone bills, call logs, skype logs, medical and police record And other documents along with the application? How does it work and where do i start from?Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Congrats on your marriage. :) Don't be confused start gathering the documents and evidences required and you are good to go. Yes you have to apply from Pakistan (as far as I know) any one else can help you on this matter.

For application start with the checklists and start gathering documents. There are 2 checklists

one is general for all applicants.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5491E.pdf

second for Pakistani applicants.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3907e.pdf

read them thoroughly get your original Nikkah nama, marriage registration documents, original education documents, all chat logs, receipts of travel and shopping during marriage, any special gifts for you(receipts) and (any thing which can act as an evidence to proof your marraige is genuine and healthy), pictures from marriage, parties, honeymoon(if any), work documents and his police certificates, (from UAE and Pakistan). fill the forms , get his medical done submit fees and you are good to go :), keep coming to the forum and ask questions whatever you may face.

Hello fellow members.

A lot of you have probably emailed LVO sometimes during your application. Just wondering when you got a response back to your enquiry did anyone get it from NXR and if you did, is NXR a visa officer or does anyone know what it stands for.

Thanks in advance.

Hi. I also sent LVO an email and recieved a response from NXR. I think it is a visa officer but not necessarily the one who has ur file. Was ur enquiry medical related? Under these initials on my email it says immigration and health division.

Hi sadia01

I have a feeling to that its a visa officer who only responds to emails but doesn't handle the files. No my enquiry was not related to medical. I was enquiring about the status update and got a generic response.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Just wondering.. How long do u guys think it takes before a file is assigned to a specific officer? Is there any way to find out if a file has been assigned or not?

Congratulationz... you can include a cover letter but pregnancy has NO impact on applications. When the child is born before the applicant lands, you will need to notify cic immediately.

In response to your first question, Yes you can apply straight from UAE if your husband has a legal status including a work permit". When filling the application, make sure you follow UAE checklist and guidelines.

There are couple of us in the same situation as you, and we followed the checklist for the country of residence as per CIC. You can message me in private too for more information or help.

Thank you so much Sulemanmirza and warzo for the quick reply . A lot less confused now. Will gather all the documents. This is going to be a hell long of a process even though i just found out that i am pregnant. I just read that Sponsor for Pakistan has been changed to 40 months. Absolutely absurd. So will definitely try to sponsor straight from the UAE. Wishing you and everyone all the best with their cases and hope everyone gets to reunite with their loved ones very soon inshAllah.
