Thank you so much Sulemanmirza and warzo for the quick reply . A lot less confused now. Will gather all the documents. This is going to be a hell long of a process even though i just found out that i am pregnant. I just read that Sponsor for Pakistan has been changed to 40 months. Absolutely absurd. So will definitely try to sponsor straight from the UAE. Wishing you and everyone all the best with their cases and hope everyone gets to reunite with their loved ones very soon inshAllah.

The UAE timeline would apply to you if your husband continues to live in UAE for the entire process. Legal status includes work permit too.

There is no more option for selecting visa offices in the application forms. Currently applications are sent to random places. Even some of UAE applications are going to LVO because of the backlog. Ultimately CIC decides where should the application be transferred to, however, you will need to follow the guidelines of your current residence.

Islamabad is no longer receiving any. They are still working on cleaning up the backlog prior to 2014 which increases the timeline each quarter. My heart goes out to those whose applications are stuck there. :'(

So finally received something from LVO today. My status and everything is same they have given me 45 days for this document. I would try to do it as soon as possible though. They have asked the following:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:
Schedule A: A separate and newly completed Schedule A Background Declaration form (IMM 5669) bearing an original signature.The Schedule A form you submitted has gaps in your Personal History since the age of 18 (Question 8 ). Please provide your activity from September 2008 to January 2009 and from April 2014 to present.

I don't know why they asked it, as there is nothing special in my wife's history just bachelors, 1 to 1.5 years work and marriage.
So should I include a cover letter telling them about my wife's pregnancy.?? or just stay with what they have asked and just wait patiently for the rest of the process.??

Yehi tu Sitam Zareefi hai bro , Don't really know what was the difference between our applications , my documents were complete too and I had good amount of evidences for our relation. Well I would say its just pure luck..!!

If my spouse want to travel to dubai...will that make any difference to her process

She can travel anywhere she wants too. But if it is more than 6 months during the process she have to email visa office with her new address and reason of moving.

Call them tomorrow at 9am and ask when you can pick it up.

Status changed to Forwared to Canada Visa Office Islamabad.. just few min agoo. now i donno how long they gonna take.

Probably the difference can be.. i have done though the lawyer bcz i didnt had any option. Lawyer knows how to present the case and all the formalities.

I also applied through lawyer but I'm not sure if that makes difference. They ended just fill up the form and submitted.

My application was received on November 25th 2014 and was sent to LVO on February 22nd 2015. My first question is regarding the processing time, on CIC website it says 40 months (Islamabad Pakistan) (0___0) is this for real? Why is it taking this long nowadays? Secondly, my daughter was born just before applying on 23rd October 2014. We did submit her birth certificate etc along with all other required documents. Although, she is a Canadian citizen already and she proves how genuine our relationship is, but will this make any positive impact on the processing time of our case?

Any input will be much appreciated.

I can understand your situation. First i want to clear this that if your file is in London then the London processing time will be applied which is 28 months. right now can only suggest you to order the notes and contact your area MP and consult with them might be possibility he can help you.

To order note you can look previous pages one member has explained the whole process of how to order notes..
I mean by contacting the local Member parliament of your area. every area has a MP so google up your area MP and contact him.
