Did you figure out why CIC refunded your RPRF fee ?

I think I figured it out.
When I sent my application to Mississauga, they charged me $1590 CAD on my credit card.
The actual cost of the spouse sponsorship is $1040 CAD or maybe $1100? So I believe I was double charged for RPRF fee.
Hence, I got a refund of $550.

Sponsorship application: $75
Principal Applicant: $475
RPRF fee: $550
------------------
Total $1100

Would be interested to know how much sponsor's paid.
Although I don't mind paying double if they make the processing time twice as fast ;D

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Salaam,

My spouse in Afghanistan has been requested to submit her passport at Islamabad. My uncle will be travelling to Pakistan to submit the passport on her behalf. I have a few urgent questions:

1. Can my spouse's uncle submit the passport on her behalf?
2. Where can he submit the passport? We don't want to send it by courier.
3. How will my spouse receive the passport back - she lives in Afghanistan?
4. Can her uncle pick it up and how will we know if the Passport is ready with Visa?
5. Anything else we should be aware of?
6. How long will it take to get the visa back?

Thank you!

What instructions are given on the PPR2 email? Via TCS or VAC?
Yes anyone can submit PP on behalf of other. PP cant be sent across the border by Pakistan Law, so one has to mention address of Pakistani geo location.
All the best

Pakistani PP is not allowed to send overseas by courier or by person (unless authorized). and this law is for Pakistan PP. Don't know afghani regulations whether allow or not

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Thanks brothers.

It's via VAC. http://www.vfsglobal.ca/Canada/Pakistan/

We don't have Pakistani address. Can we not pick up the passport at the VAC centre in Pakistan once ready with Visa?

Thanks!

Well you should sit back and wait for your medical to get expire and then you will get re-med. once you get re-med, the rest of the process will take only 1.5 to 2 months to get your visa issued.

and you get re-med request when your background checks are complete. so in my opinion your background checks are underway. and there is nothing you can do beside wait.
good Luck

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

My application arrived in Missisauga on feb 28th and still no reply from the office that they have received the application. Some friend wrote here that they reply in 10 days. Can anyone reply? thanks

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

I did not have a reply for 2 months.
You can expect your file to be transferred in about 2 to 3 months.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Hi everyone!

I applied for my wife. LVO received my file on Feb 11, 2014 and I received an acknowledgment letter on March 14, 2014. On Feb 16, 2015 my wife received an email requesting more documents regarding proof of communication, Urdu Nikah Nama. I sent them what they were asking, but the funny thing is that status on my file still says "file received". They never changed to in process or decision made. How long do they take to reply once we submit what they had asked for?

Any comments are welcome!

as you can see I'm kind of in the same boat. Seems like ecase status isnt getting updated as frequent anymore.they requested english translation right after re medical in February(6th remedical & 8th Nikah nama)& since then no updates.

Vac do not deliver.. It is a self collect service so you will have yo collect it yourself.

I didn't receive any request for re-medical so far, and I have submitted English version of Nikah Nama already. I guess we don't have any other option but wait.
