I honestly think that they sent you an old template.
Either method its going to the CHC Islamabad.
If you want to have some re-assurance, contact the local VAC office and send an email (so you have proof of correspondence).

My wife's spousal application (Pakistani Applicant) is in process at London Office. We got the following email:

Dear Applicant,
We are writing with regards to your application for permanent residence in Canada.
As you are aware, visa validity is determined by medical validity, and for this application your medical results expired on 2015/02/22.
As a one-off procedure, in order for our medical officer to potentially reassess the current medical results and determine whether an extension of your medical validity is possible, please provide the following:
- countries visited/country of residence since the date of your original medical, including details of all/any business trips, holidays/vacations or stopovers of any duration.
- details of any illnesses, however minor or temporary, since the date of your original medical.
If the medical officer determines that an extension of your medical validity is not possible, repeat medical instructions will be sent.

Can she reply by email? Does it means we are near the finish line? In February, CIC asked for additional proof regarding the DOB and Marriage age of my wife, which they received March 6, 2015, does this email mean they are okay with the information submitted?

Good to hear that, they are thinking of extending your medical and wind up your case as soon as possible, if they thought with the evidences you provide (stuff they asked for) that you don't need a remed next might be PPR I would guess under 2 months. If they don't find the information up to the mark and asked for a remed add a month more of processing.
But consider yourself lucky they are extending your medical.

I called in the late morning and could not get through.
Was really busy with work this the morning but will try again next week.
I am not worried though, they don't really need it until they process my file at the visa office.
I just thought it was really strange.

Hey everyone! Question for anyone who has recently received ppr and got visa back.

I am asking on behalf of a friend.

Which service can they send their passport? Tcs? Or vac? Does it matter which one?

Also. What service will they send it bak thru? Is there a pick up option.

Any replies will be helpful.

Some people have been sending through TCS and others have been sending through VAC.
You will have instructions in the PPR email.
If you send through TCS, you will receive back from TCS.
If you drop off at VAC, you will pick-up at VAC.
Both allow tracking.

It's going to CHC Islamabad either way.
The parcel will be tracked.
I can't imagine a visa officer complaining that they didn't use one courier over the other and they are currently receiving packages through both channels.

I got the following mail

Appendix C - Submission and Return of Passports
Passports are very valuable and we want to ensure that they are returned to you safely.
For security reasons, you cannot submit your passports in person. Send your passport package
by courier to:
VPU Processing (LDN)
Immigration Section
Canadian High Commission
Sector G-5, Diplomatic Enclave
Islamabad, Pakistan
You should expect to be without your passport(s) for four weeks, so do not arrange any travel
that will require your passport(s) during this period. Due to the postal situation in Pakistan, your
passport(s) will be returned by TCS COD (“Cash on Delivery”) courier in order to ensure secure
delivery. You will need to present valid ID and pay the service charges to TCS when you
receive your passport(s).
If you have not heard from TCS after four weeks, you may contact us at the London office.
Please send all enquiries regarding this application to the London office (not the Islamabad
office).

The Islamabad office cannot send passports to addresses outside of Pakistan.

Did any sponsors have refund of Permanent Residence Fee?
The same day that I got sponsor approval, I also got message they refunded my Right of Permanent Residence Fee.

yes it is strange as my rprf fee was also paid in advance , they didnt refund it.
