I'm kind of panicking and I was really hoping and praying someone could answer my question. I filed my sponsorship through an immigration lawyer and received a call from their office a few mins ago. Apparently the London visa office is asking for the nikkah nama in urdu with translation.

Since they asked, does it mean they have begun working on our file? When they request information similar to this, does it mean that a decision will be made soon after the submission? Has anyone else had a similar experience. I'm soooooooo anxious and going a little crazy over thinking all of this. I'm just trying to get a sense of the timeline!

Weird thing is that when I checked my application online, it says application received and hasn't changed to in process.

Also!! One more thing, they don`t always update the online statuses. I found out from my mp back in June that they were doing a background check on my file. I checked my status and it still said Application Received Decision made since October 2013. (that is when i first applied and they sent a letter indicating my file went to london).

I recently checked it and it finallllyy changed to Interview on March 18th. 2015. Mine also never said in process. I had to keep calling my mp`s office to get the updates. So keep doing dua`s. You may not see it, but they may be working on your file, they are just too lazy to update you.

When did you file your application?

I applied in May 2014. CIC approved me as a sponsor in July and that's when my file was forwarded to the London office!

Second:- It says in the guide if you were married in a person then you should submit. Nikah Nama in Urdu.
All my family and friends, just sent Nikah Certificate in English and they got approved.
I to sent Nikah Certificate in english thats it. (lets see what happens) I pray Everything goes smoothly with me and all of the people who are waiting.

I m also waiting for any call or e-mail from LVO. My file was transfered to LVO in August 2014. But still I am waiting for any response. We attached our nikkah nama that we got translated and stamped from Nadra. I'm guessing that wasn't sufficient

did you translate in english or urdu. Was it orginally in urdu or english?

It probably means that they have started working on your file then. Since they asked you for it. They asked me for both Nikah Nama in english and urdu, so i sent them both. Go through your lawyer and mp. Because they can get the inside scoop for you.

As per most cases, if we email them ourselves. They will most likely open our email. and then just close it without replying. These people don`t really care that people are living without their spouses. All they care about is making money. Most countries come within a few months. Unfortunately, Files in Pakistan are more strict. I understand why, but they should not go to the extent that they have. Its unfair.

May Allah reunite us all with our spouses very soon!

You should contact your local MP. They can call LVO and get some answers for you

I have more or less the same timeline as you my file was transferred on 12 Aug 2014, I have ordered notes (would receive in a day or two), then I would post an update on the forum, just be patient, mostly April & May 2014 members are getting their cases in process, so I hope our case would go in process too around March INSHA ALLAH.

I attached Original Nikkah nama in urdu ,,its true translation in english which was notarized ,,and original marriage certificate which is in both english and urdu on same page from City govt..it was attested from foreign affairs by chance as I applied for my husbands visitor's visa for Saudi arabi and my husband visited me there..so my marriage certificate which i attached was also attested from foreign affairs Pakistan .. I think marriage certificate with nikkah nama and its true translation ,,all 3 are necessary

Received Spousal Approval and Case Transferred to LVO on November 13, 2014

after seeing this, i strongly suggest that you should forget about GCMS notes for at least 5-6 months as lets assume your file reached on 1st December to London (as it is usually sent by snail mail) , which means your file has been in LVO for only 3 months,
they dont start processing a case at least for 7-8 months as their are backlogs hence the reason of the process time of LVO increasing from 11 Months to 29 months

AOA to all,

I applied my case on Aug, 08 2014 and received my sponsorship approval on Oct, 14 2014. I received an e-mail saying that your case has been forwarded to LVO.
At that time, the processing time LVO was 11 months but now the case processing time for LVO appears to be 29 months. Can someone please tell me which timeline applies to me? and whats the average processing time in past two years.?

yes it will apply from now on, but you can always hope for the best, just think 12-15 months , which is same as previous time, LVO most probably finalize the files in 15 months , so dont worry, 29 months is just a scare.

Regarding the interview. My husband is super nervous.

He knows all the wedding dates. If he forgets the day we met
Or proposal date. Can he honestly say that he doesnt remember rather then giving the incorrect answer?
or is that not an option. So many dates to remember
As a human people make mistakes. What happens in that case?
they just assume its not genuine and reject?
