Hi, Just finished applying for citizenship certificate of my newly born son.

Kindly some one inform the best choice at this stage?
File transferred to LVO First week of May 2014. So very much in the early stages. Do I wait to apply for my son's Canadian passport when I am closer to the end of my spouse's application OR do I have an option to get a Pakistani passport and add my son in the application for visa? Which is better and saves time at the end of the day? Thanks

Hello Hafsa,
sorry for being late. You can check the processing steps on the first page of the thread. but i will answer it here as well.

Your family eligibility is complete now. means Visa officer is satisfied that relation to sponsor is genuine.
Background checks are routine security checks which are performed after eligibility assessment is complete.
Your case may take 3-6 months max till the issuance of Visa.

If you are Canadian. Things will be less complicated. You son will automatically be Canadian. (Just apply for his passport separately).

If you are PR. You will have to add your son as a dependent on your wife's file. Add him immediately.

If remed is about to expire, it can only take mere of 10-14 days. If remed isn't about to expire than they can take around a month to 6 weeks. (Can come earlier also if lucky).

My wife filed my case for immigration in April and its has been approved and my visa office LVO but as on ecas it is stating that decision made (in sponsor application status) and application received (in Permanent Residence Application Status) but i didn't get any AOR at my end....i dont know weather this is it or i have to wait for receiving AOR at my end...what shud i do now....??

Only the sponsor receives the confirmation letter thru email by CPC Mississauga... and I think your sponsor has received that's why you are able to check your application status!
