We are in Islamabad. I had booked my tickets very early before the DM. My mother wanted to visit Pakistan for 2 months.
We will be leaving back to Toronto on 25-Dec. I have not heard any news of original documents being received in Canada even though my parents are home.

In that case, I would send case specific inquiry.

Andrew is maintaining a spreadsheet for London Visa office and Micky/Mercy24 are doing it for Pakistani applicants at LVO. Interview problems, background checks, interview in Pakistan by LVO. The time and constraints for Pakistani applicants are entirely different from other LVO applicants. We have a dedicated thread for London applicants, if someone is interested he can visit that.
Separate thread and Spreadsheet for Pakistani applicants is a great initiative, I would request/recommend to continue it. However, Andrew can copy the information from spreadsheet maintained by Micky/Mercy24 to the LVO spreadsheet.

I agree with you on this. The London spreadsheet was there for very long time and it tracked applicants from Pakistan and European countries. I think we should track them all in one under London. It will help us understand how is London moving overall for everyone.

in process since august 26,no further correspondance since then.
i got the form that has to be filled.
can anybody do this kind favour to me to send me some filled form just for an example

Wanted to know if anyone just received their and their spouses birth certificate in mail. I did not receive any other original documents such as Marriage certificate, police certificate pictures...

I dont even know if this is a good sign or not.

I am a bit annoyed by lack of transparency by LVO about application as we cannot set proper expectations. Looks like judging from others timeline is not really a good approach as well as the decisions are all over the place.

I have ordered notes but still 18 days after from receiving notes.

For those who received their originals back, are we expected to get our whole application package (chats logs, pictures, originals documents) back excluding the forms.

I contacted MP last month(who was also a former immigration minister) and we found out that his application is in background check. How long does background check takes?
My question is that is ordering notes and request from MP is the same thing or different thing ?

I emailed LVO on monday and received the same day reply stating our application is in final review process. God knows how long does this final review would take..

We have a 2 year old daugher as well .... i visited my husband three times since application submission.

Are you talking about the consent form????????? it is simple and very straightforward to fill that out. I am not sure anyone would be willing to share their private info.

I have a question about the Re-Med.

My husband in Pakistan received a re-med request today. It is a great news, but, I am little puzzled with their request.
Following is what they are asking for;

In order to provide your application with an updated validity we require following additional medical examination(s) for your self and your spouse.
Chest Xray
Complete Medical report chest x-ray requisition and report form (page 5 and 6 of IMM5419)
Duly completed Re-assessment Form

When we submitted the application in October 2014, my husband had the medical, but now they are asking for "your self and your spouse". Is this something new?

I live in Canada. Do I have to do the medical too. I am confused. Can someone please help me out.

I need some help. CIC is asking for the RE-Med for me too. I am not sure how to respond back or who to contact at this point. Should I just ask my husband to do the Re-Med in Karachi and see what happens, or should I book an appointment for myself too in Canada (where?)

Hello.
Thanks for the reply. Well im not sure when back ground check started but it may be after august 19 because that was when we got last correspondence from them. I asked my lawyer about how long it will take,he said that we can not predict because it vary from person to person and he is hopeful that we wil get ppr before end of this year,.
When did your background check start and are you sponsoring wife or husband?

I'm also April-2014 applicant and waiting for DM. We have came to know couple of weeks ago thru MP that our case is also in background check but don't know since when. Can you tell me since when your background check was started?

We are in the same boat and facing same conditions. Ask your lawyer as he may be some idea that how much time LVO usually takes in background check. You are also requested to share with me also. It seems that March-2014, April-2014, May 2014 cases are getting delay due to some reasons. Pls check with your lawyer and share his words with me also.
