My file is still with Mississauga so I dont think a visa officer has been assigned yet. .. Can you share link for the guidelines regarding certifying translate documents? Also when I am logging into the account I see they are asking for "US Permanent Resident ID (required)", dont know why .. maybe this should be CNIC translation and they have done a mistake.

my lawyer got email on aug 3 for interview n also my wife received mail from LVO on aug 7 for interview.
Question : will my lawyer get final decision email n also LVO will send mail to my wife like how they did interview mail or just my lawyer will receive email?

If you are a permanent resident and you want to sponsor your spouse, you must be in Canada, otherwise your husband's application will be refused. The reason is that only Canadian citizens can sponsor while being out of Canada. PRs of Canada can go out of Canada for short duration(2-3 weeks vacation), otherwise they have to be in Canada to sponsor somebody.

We were requested to provide Passport size photographs from the Case Processing Centre Mississauga. This request was made by Case Processing Centre Mississauga through a letter (Dated: September 14, 2017) under online myCIC account. We immediately took action on this request and mailed passport sized pictures to CPC Mississauga on September 19, 2017. According to the courier service tracking details, these pictures along with the request letter were delivered to CPC Mississauga on September 21, 2017. However, under the application status/details in myCIC online account, it still says that action is needed from our end and that more documents are needed to continue processing my application.

Additional Documents (Passport Size Pictures) Request Date: September 14, 2017
File Moved to LVO: September 18, 2017
Tracking Delivery date at CPC Mississauga: September 21, 2017
Application Details under my CIC account: We need more documents to continue processing your application.
Last date to submit the additional documents: October 14, 2017

If you guys refer to the timeline above, the weird part is our application was moved to LVO before CPC Mississauga received the requested pictures. We would have hoped that once CPC Mississauga received the photographs the online myCIC account would have been updated accordingly. We even waited till the due date of October 14, 2017 to see if the status would have changed after this but no success. We have filled in a query through the online IRCC form to CPC Mississauga to acknowledge if they have received the additional pictures but haven't heard back from them.

At this point, we are worried if our application is even being processed or its on hold. Please advise what should be our next step? Do you suggest we should wait a bit more or how else we can confirm if the pictures were received and our application is in process. @MM345 Have you seen this type of situation with any other applicants in the past ?

If you call the call centre, they can tell you if it was added to your file. If it's added to your file, I think LVO and CPC exchange documents so the pics would reach LVO if needed. However, this is just my guess based on common sense, and we all know that common sense is not the principal CIC always works with.

But don't worry too much. As long as you did your job and mailed it to the office which requested it before the due date, you're good to go. If they need anything else they'll let you know. Order GCMS notes while you wait to see what's going on.

If it says action needed on your MYCIC, that means there must be an option for you to upload documents online. That "action needed" would be a separate message sent directly to your account, not simply a status update.

If it simply says 'we need additional documents' in the status boxes, don't worry about it because they don't update that stuff for ages sometimes.
