True.. so travel has been ruled out.. right now the only thing i can think of is that there could be a delay in sharing of info from pak end..try looking up along those lines.

Yeah you are rite may be..
But the fact is there are many applicants who are waiting for security clearance despite the fact they havent been part of any govt organization.. Secondly there are many experiences of interview applicants. whenever they were told on sight about security checks delay, its been mentioned that your travel history is extensive.. In my opinion travel history is the main concern for security agencies rather than employment in govt organizations.. I havent been outside of my country ever.

I got following reply from MP... I dnt knw whether to take it positive or negative

"I called IRCC and they are still on the security check. We don't know how long that will take because external partners are used to verify information, and IRCC can only continue their work on the file when those partners get back to them. The good news is that it could finish at any time, meaning it could be soon (but I don't know and can't predict), and that we are still within normal processing times for these sorts of cases. We would come to the end of the expected window in mid-September of this year (but it could finish before then). I hope this information is helpful to you. I will continue to follow-up on this."

So the MP is telling you that Pakistan's processing time of 21 months applies to you, and why is that? This is outrageous.

Should be before DM ofcourse. DM & PPR are the last steps.

So the MP is telling you that Pakistan's processing time of 21 months applies to you, and why is that? This is outrageous.

Should be before DM ofcourse. DM & PPR
DM on 1st April on ECAS, gcm notes one month ago shows no information about background check, can't link my application online, (lawyer Hai).

Most of us here applied before Dec 7, 2016. If you look at your case, your 21 months ends in Sep 2017 which is the time your MP thinks your case will be finalised.

Whereas we know that most cases (excluding interview cases) get processed within 12 months by LVO.

What is IRCC playing at? Is there no check and balance at what LVO has been doing since Jan 2017?

Tou lawyer se poochain ap k background check ka kya status hai? and tell him to follow up with LVO regarding your DM (why no PPR email has come yet?)

Thats how it is... We already knew since long time that few cases are processed so early and few gets linger on like mine... Thats how CIC behaves usually.. these timelines are bulshit

LVO usually does not acknowledge when it receives your docs.

Its been 10 months since u submitted ur application. so better involve mp to take Status update of your case, and meanwhile order notes as soon as possible (if mp doesnt provide tangible info, you will be able to see the progress of your case via gcms notes).
