I have a question please provide me guidance in this matter:
The situation is AlhamduliLLAH i have recently been granted visa to Canada .AlhamduLILLAH i am four months pregnant . My husband is PR in Canada. Do I need to hide my pregnancy ?

don't worry because they have sent you a passport request. I am kind of confused because thy mailed my documents back too fast. I am not sure if it's the same for everyone else.
i hope things go well.

Just do not worry, i know after seeing a case rejected, everyone is being all cautious , but to tell you the fact , its that Every case officer deals with Application package differently,
Some people get their docs back even when Mississauga sends file to London or Isb after first initial review, , some get it after first few months, some get them back right before re-med (as i did) , some get it with ppr, some get it even after their visa is issued and they land in CA,
So it all a lucky guess with CIC , if your docs are back , be happy and it does not mean at all that your case is weird.

My wife is due to give birth in a couple of months in Pakistan.
I plan on leaving next month to join her.
I am just wondering if anybody gone thru the process of applying for Citizenship of the baby at CHC Islamabad or CPC-Sydney.
How long did it take them? Did they apply for a regular passport after this?

as i do not have any experience with this kind of matter,

Let me answer this in detail since I had gone through the process last year for my son. When a birth happens outside of Canada to a Canadian parent, the baby is automatically entitled to Canadian citizenship (first generation only). To apply for the passport, you need to apply for baby's Citizenship Certificate first. One of two things can happen after that:
- Either you wait for the certificate and once you get it, apply for a normal minor passport that is good for 5 or 10 years. No ticket purchase is necessary.
- You can also apply for a Limited Validity Passport (LVP) while application for citizenship certificate is in progress. For this, you need a purchased ticket to show urgent proof of travel. That is assuming your spouse has either a Canadian visitor/study/ or PR visa and needs to travel to Canada soon. Hope that helps. Do confirm with another reliable source. Good luck!!!

If you've updated on your ecase profile, it should be sufficient. That is what i did.

I am about to update CIC for my wife's pregnancy I just wanted to confirm that would these documents enough or am I missing something.? Please let me know. Also posting here so that it will help people who are in this situation.

1. A cover letter explaining my situation.
2. Communications from AOR received date till now. (skype, fb chats). 13 pages
3. Boarding passes both my visit and then Umrah we performed together, ( do I need to send originals or just scanned would do..?).

4. Her medical reports including blood test reports, doctor's prescriptions, ultrasound and pregnancy test reports.

5. Pictures of my visit and Umrah pictures. (around 12 to 15) of them.

Yes that is fine. Attach letter by her doctor on doctor's official writing pad.

They usually update the address but it didnt appear on ecas. Same was done with me. You can probably call and confirm your current address. I called them, representative told me that address is updated but i wont appear on ecas.

Hello Carelessone,

So I applied my husband's case on 18th February 2014 and got an acceptance letter on March 23rd 2014.
Haven't heard from the cic office yet, there are no updates on the website.

It is passed 11 months , please advice what I need to do and who to contact in regards to my application.
