Hi All,

I have a few questions:-

-I am gathering all documents for my application. Do I have to get my Bachelor's Degree attested from my college? It was in the UK in my case.
-Secondly, how long can the sponsor spouse stay out of Canada after applying for the principal applicant? I understand my husband has to be living n Canada but can he travel for like 2 3 weeks as a vacation?

Your Bachelor degree if your college is listed in the list of accepted universities/colleges list then you do not need it but if it is not then you have to get it attested both from your college in UK then it needs to be attested by HEC Pakistan as well and foreign office too. In my case i didnot had to because my university was listed in the accepted universities in Canada and i just gave that code number that's it. Secondly depending upon if your husband is citizen or pr he can travel anytime

This is good sign and wish you good luck a head. What is your timeline?

What they asked in their re-medical request?

When they asked me to send additional documents (color copy of passport bio page and recent 2 pictures) they given me 45 days. They requested me for these documents by end November-2015.
When they asked me for re-medical, they asked me to do re-medical at my earliest. They send me re-medical request in early May-2016.
After that waiting for their further instructions.

Decision is made on my Application . Wen I click Decision Made ther is nothing new Like '' we have sent you Correspondence on XXXX , pls wait before contacting us '' Is this Normal thing or what ?

I have couriered my application on 1st Jun 2016 from Calgary, Canada to CPC but still didn't received any acknowledgement mail or anything?
Whats next? Will I receive any acknowledgement email? How much I should wait?

You will receive acknowledgment in approx 30-40 days .

Do all people need this FRC? I married my wife and we have no familial relation to one another before marriage. Her family and my family are just family friends. And we have no kids. Do we still need this FRC?

You don’t really need it but it’s official document from NADRA showing family relationship.

Also, the CIC forms ask for applicant relationship with family members so FRC is a good example.

The good thing about FRC is that it’s simple and easy to understand, cheap $ to get, and it has pictures of all the family members.

If your wife is applicant, she can get one for her own family members, which includes her parents and siblings.

She can get 2nd one for her "spouse and children". Since you don’t have child yet, there will be only two members on the FRC – you and her (as a wife and husband).

Both the FRC types are different from each other. You can get one or both.

Remember: To get FRC for spouse and children, both the husband and wife have to have Married status in NADRA system.

When I got married, I updated my wife’s Smart card with Married status. After that I applied for FRC and NADRA said that my wife has married status but not me.

That’s stupid, if one person is married to another, the other one should be updated automatically. I had to pay 10000 again to just update my ID Card

Salam everyone,

I know i have asked this question before and some users replied saying that I have to apply for permanent resident travel document (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/travel.asp). But this application is for people who will be living longer outside Canada once they have entered and left - also this application can only be submitted if you are living outside Canada.

My situation is that I want to go after a week my spouse lands for a week only on a small honeymoon trip. Since PR card can't be processed within a week, what kind of document would apply in this situation?

So thats mean their is not any time limit, Cause IMO have large number of waiting list.

All Senior Members

Put a light on the following it would be helpful for all.

1) If your spousal application is submitted from Canada time period is 17 months.
2) If your spousal application is submitted from Pakistan time period is 26months.

Are both statements correct.

I would advise all spousal sponsor who are in Canada contact your MP for your case updates and the way to contact is via website put in the area code and it will give your MP

MP Office takes 3 to 8 working days to reply to your email. Write a very professional email be precise and give all relevant information.
