I will let you know as soon as I know what is going on. Waiting for request to submit the passport through VFS. I will update everything but most likely you will get the passport request at the same time. And I will keep everybody posted regarding each and every steps from submitting the passport till she lands.....

Hey Farhana
Anyone applied on March 2015 or after goes for fast track process. For an example My application was submitted in March 2015 and my wife received letter stating she is on interview list on June 2015. She got an interview date on May 2016 (11 months). Her friend also applied to come to Canada and applied in June 2014 and received a letter stating she is on interview list on October 2014 and still didn't receive any date yet. I got this information from immigration office directly. I know 2 people who works in Immigration office and 1 person who is retired immigration officer who used to work at Singapore Office. People who applied in 2014 and before are back logged. They need to keep emailing Singapore office to get updates. The CIC website says 17 months now. Each day if the officers pulls out 200 files, then out of 200 180 is new files and probably 20 is old files like from 2014 and before. If those applicant email the Singapore office they actually pull that file to check. I was told its highly recommended to email them and it will help those people to get an interview date soon. I work for Federal Government of Canada. I have some sources in CIC . I decided to share this with everyone and I hope this will be helpful.

Please log in and share your information and experience like zee7447. My spouse was August 2013 applicant and she got her interview on March 2016. I know how it feels like to wait for almost 3 years and I dont want anybody to go through what we went through. Its a good sign they are speeding up the process from March 2015 applicants. Even though its kind of unfair for older applicants but I am happy for others. Only one request please share your info in this forum. We have to support each others till we get united with our loved ones. You never know your 5 minutes of effort can save somebody's 5 months/years and $5K!!!!

Hello fellow forum members,

I am posting this post today to get some help. I had recently requested my husband's sponsorship application notes from GCMS. I got them 2 days ago and the notes say recommended for interview and the date if posted as 01/04/2016 so January 04 is when they had decided that he is to be called for interview. But until now we have not even received any correspondence from the Immig. to inform us that we are going to be interviewed and when we will be interviewed. Can you guys help me out and tell me how long did it approximately take for you guys to receive your interview letter after you saw E-cas status as in process or if any of you requested your notes and found out earlier that an interview is required...how long after the date on the notes did you get the interview letter? Any Feb 2015 applicants get an interview letter yet??
Also, my husband lives in New Zealand as he is on work permit but his file is being processed in NDVO. So does he have to go there to do the interview or can they do it in New Zealand as well?

Hope you are fine. New Delhi visa office is different from Singapore. I see in this form New Delhi 2014 applicant and also see New Delhi 2015 applicant. New Delhi system is quite different. There are some applicants who did their interview over phone and also approved. Even they accept medical and police clearance in the interview time. I asked many applicants about their interview. Most of them said they have no idea about New Delhi interview. They just wait for their interview.

I can advise you one thing when you complete your 17 month you can email your visa office. Hope it will work for your application. You can join here New Delhi 2015 Applicant. They may be giving you the best solution. Because I can say only Singapore visa under Bangladeshi Applicant.

I was wondering if they want to cross reference information with some of our family members over the phone, will they ask for the contact information once we get to the embassy ?? or do they ask on the letter they send requesting the interview?

Your boyfriend means he is your husband or just boyfriend. Your boyfriend is pending for interview. Or he did his interview. Please write in detail. It will be help me what you want to know. Where is your visa office? Where is your file transfer? Please write in detail.

I got my date after 17 months of waiting. Usually they try to give someone a date (if they are in the interview queue) by the official timeline which is 17 months. however if i remember right there were some members here that said they got theirs on the 18th or 19th month. the whole process takes about 20-22 months. so if your friend is May 2015 and she's in queue for interview, she has to wait a little bit more i guess. although it's 2015 cases are dealt separately than 2014 ones but still she has to wait a little more depending on which month they are at with 2015 files. that's my guess from experience.

Dear June1990,

Most of the cases in this thread are outland application. You will only get a interview call if they have doubt about the genuineness of your marriage/relationship. Sometimes if you or your spouse have any kind of red flags, they most likely will call you for the interview.

But if you fill out all your forms efficiently and if your development of relationship explanation make sense, then there's a higher chance of your interview getting waived. So don't put anything on the form which is unclear and which will create more questions for the case worker.
