2:52pm : I am outside of the office thinking what exactly happened???

***This is the experience my spouse had while I was at the airport *censored word* my pants thinking god knows what will they ask in the interview. My spouse called me and asked me did they call me? I said no. Then my mother in law called and ask me the same question , I said no. Then she said she got a call from high commission of canada which lasted about 2-3 minutes.

That time I didnt know what to think of it and I just told my spouse to come and tell me how was it cause I cant take it and hang up the phone.

When I hear the whole thing atleast 10-12 times from my spouse, I cant make any sense out of it. Whats the point of wasting 3 years of our young life for this joke type of interview. I was happy but I didnt know what to make out of it......

My spouse submitted the dr's letter on March 21st, 2016 and got the email from Singapore on April 14, 2016 to redo medical and to submit the police clearance with IMM5669. Everything is submitted onApril 18, 2016.

Below is the current status of the file from CIC WEBSITE:

Permanent Residence Status: IN PROCESS

1. We received your application for permanent residence on February 24, 2014.

2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 7, 2014.

3. We started processing your application on March 7, 2014.

4. Medical results have been received.

5. We sent you a letter on February 19, 2016. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. (INTERVIEW LETTER)

6. We sent you correspondence on April 14, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required. (MEDICAL AND POLICE CLEARANCE)

Hope it helps. We did practice each and every questions applicable to us in this forum and we also did mock interview with close friends and family members. We also video record mock interviews so that we can work with our body language. From February 17 till March 13, our life was kind of paused. We were just talking about the interview. Luckily I was with my spouse from Jan 25th so it helped a bit I guess.

Please do let me know if you guys have and further questions and/or confusions.

HOPE IT HELPS.....
Thank you for sharing the interview experience.

Dear Farhana,

Hows your shopping and packing going? So we have to submit our passports at VFS. I checked there website, each applicant has to pay around 2500 BDT (such a ripoff). What do you think about the airlines and airfare? I have no idea about buying tickets from Bangladesh. Please let me know about some good airlines and airfare so that I can budget a bit for one way airfare. I did travel with Air Canada and British airways and more recently with Turkish and Emirates. Hope one of these will work with the budget.
Hello Sam,
I know you are very happy and excited. I think Turkish Airline is good because the transit time is only 1 hour 30 mine. You can also buy a Saudi airline ticket and the transit time is only 4 hours. I see in this form after interview then one month later they request for re-medical, if re-medical has done then one month later they request the passport then again one month later they issue visa. I am not feeling good because today I go to my re-medical and when we came back home the clinic call me again because one test is still need then I again go to the clinic. This is really ridiculous. Any way Sam best of luck

Hello Hasan,

They allow one person to go with applicant. If anyone wants to go with Applicant interview he or she needs National ID card for the entry purpose. Now a day cross check is very common.

Hello fellow forum members,

I am posting this post today to get some help. I had recently requested my husband's sponsorship application notes from GCMS. I got them 2 days ago and the notes say recommended for interview and the date if posted as 01/04/2016 so January 04 is when they had decided that he is to be called for interview. But until now we have not even received any correspondence from the Immig. to inform us that we are going to be interviewed and when we will be interviewed. Can you guys help me out and tell me how long did it approximately take for you guys to receive your interview letter after you saw E-cas status as in process or if any of you requested your notes and found out earlier that an interview is required...how long after the date on the notes did you get the interview letter? Any Feb 2015 applicants get an interview letter yet??
Also, my husband lives in New Zealand as he is on work permit but his file is being processed in NDVO. So does he have to go there to do the interview or can they do it in New Zealand as well?

Thanks for all your help!! I really am scared for this interview.

Hello Priya,

My first question to you when you applied for you husband? Where your application file transfer? Is it Singapore or other country or New Zealand? Now a day the interview waiting time 17 months. But some people get their interview in 11 months. Its depends on visa office. One more thing if your application file transfers in Singapore your husband will need to face his interview Dhaka Canadian High commission.

Regards

Farhana

Oh is it 17 months from the time the file started processing at ndvo? I thought it was 17 months from the time they make a note of him being called for an interview? So will they only send a letter once they have a date or do they send a letter telling you u are on waiting for an interview date? And then send the date later?
Yes he is indian passport but residing in new zealand on work permit so can he give his interview in new zealand or will he have to travel to India?
