no, from DM. And in the case of Montreal, that would be 8 weeks according to what CIC told us.

That should come anytime soon, really.
check on the stats for 2015 inlanders, for those not getting DM within 2 weeks from AIP.

The median is 56 days, the average is 85 days. You are at 52 days now, so really it can come anytime now.

Congrats Browning911 :) that is great.. I wish Profiler comes back soon, he does not have to take all the nuisance here personally.

Guess What????????????

We just got AIP.

Dear Browning911's Hubby:

This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or
Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.

It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent
residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that
a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent
resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks
for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they
are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident
until you and all your family members have met these requirements.............

So Happy!!!

Oh no need to mention :) I may not have expert advice, but I try to distract the heavy worrisome thoughts when I can.

No word on the landing yet, will check emails tonight. Will send Betsy over with the Profilers tomorrow to sort them out :D

Hugs GuyanaGirl! The Profilers will make enquiries about yours tomorrow.

I had my period for which I was totally frustrated by the process. When we reached 16-17 months in the process and there was still no update while people that applied like 5-6 months after us were landing, that was driving me crazy. CIC even removed the timeframe for SA and AIP, which was 16 months, so we could not make them work on our file. My frustrations were reflecting in my posts. Profiler had the good words to calm me down. I did not like it the moment I read them... but after a night of sleep, I had to agree, he was totally right. Let's enjoy the life now, don't stress with the process; the wife is here, we can have a quite normal life,... Then the waiting up to SA and AIP that happened a bit after 19 months was fine, the waiting did not affect me anymore. But the second I got the SA letter... OMG! I just couldn't do anything anymore, I asked my wife to come to see me (she is a full-time student, but I'm working in the same building as her). One of my colleague came to talk to me, but I just couldn't concentrate on what she was trying to ask me, I just said: sorry, we just got news from immigration. Lets discuss that later. At that time my wife got an email, that was AIP. That was not my most productive day at work!

But I do understand those that get frustrated by the process, and I just hope that they will also enjoy their current life without letting the immigration process affecting them too much.

I had those moments too but what made me be patient was all the 2015 applicants, including you and Carol and numerous others. How could I feel sorry for myself when others who had applied before me were still waiting.

I pray that the Montreal office can give you and father-of-the-year landing appointments soon.

Thanks Sam. I know you will hear something soon. I miss Profiler too. I miss his advice, his jokes and the camaraderie. I sent him an e-mail when we got AIP. He and his wife have their landing appointment is tomorrow.

Thanks Legolg for your good wishes. Yours is coming too.

Heyyy you and Orphan are the day after me.
