Guess What????????????

We just got AIP.

Dear Browning911's Hubby:

This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or
Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.

It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent
residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that
a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent
resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks
for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they
are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident
until you and all your family members have met these requirements.............

So Happy!!!

Wow! That's amazing, very happy for you!!

Another Lucian accepted yay!... my husband is from Morne Du Don!

Thank you Guyana for all your support and making me laugh. Tell Betsey I love her. I am okay with waiting for DM because I know Etobicoke is slow. Did you hear from Kitchener yet?

I wish Profiler was here. I sent him an e-mail.

Oh no need to mention :)

I may not have expert advice, but I try to distract the heavy worrisome thoughts when I can

No word on the landing yet, will check emails tonight. Will send Betsy over with the Profilers tomorrow to sort them out :D

Thanks Sylvain. Also thank you for always being positive and your words of encouragement to everyone. It meant more than you will ever know.

I had my period for which I was totally frustrated by the process. When we reached 16-17 months in the process and there was still no update while people that applied like 5-6 months after us were landing, that was driving me crazy. CIC even removed the timeframe for SA and AIP, which was 16 months, so we could not make them work on our file. My frustrations were reflecting in my posts. Profiler had the good words to calm me down. I did not like it the moment I read them... but after a night of sleep, I had to agree, he was totally right. Let's enjoy the life now, don't stress with the process; the wife is here, we can have a quite normal life,... Then the waiting up to SA and AIP that happened a bit after 19 months was fine, the waiting did not affect me anymore. But the second I got the SA letter... OMG! I just couldn't do anything anymore, I asked my wife to come to see me (she is a full-time student, but I'm working in the same building as her). One of my colleague came to talk to me, but I just couldn't concentrate on what she was trying to ask me, I just said: sorry, we just got news from immigration. Lets discuss that later. At that time my wife got an email, that was AIP. That was not my most productive day at work!

But I do understand those that get frustrated by the process, and I just hope that they will also enjoy their current life without letting the immigration process affecting them too much.

I see that your office is Montreal... They are overloaded
We got DM on March 21st, and we are still waiting for a landing appointment.
But hang on, for sure your turn is also coming soon!
