Cic needs that address to assign your file to a local VO (based on postal code).

Just found out the OWP for my husband has been approved! (Applied Sept 13) ;D We haven't received it yet, but it MyCIC was updated today (like 5 minutes ago)!

Does the linking of the OWP in mycic take longer than the general application? It can't find the OWP, but the overall has been visible for about a month now. We applied 2.5 months ago.

It's processed by a different CPC. So it takes time to transfer, and the OWPs are virtually automatic with inland applications if the applicant is in status. So, they probably open then approve quickly..

we never were able to link OWP, and I think others here report the same, the OWP just shows up in the mailbox 3.5 to 4 months after applying is what I have been reading, ours showed up 3.5 months after applying. Calling them makes no difference

Hey there! I'm new to the forum and I have a few questions to ask..

1. My wife and I applied for me to be sponsored in April of 2016. I received AOR in June. In August I was asked to provide a police certificate from the FBI (I'm a yank unfortunately lol). In September i was notified that they received the document and that my background check went to " IN PROGRESS ." Since then there has been no movement in my application. Does any one know or have an idea of the background check process? I mean my file should be straight forward being my wife and i have two children in common. I've never been arrested for anything at all either.

2. I just applied for my OWP just last week as i was hoping to receive AIP first but that didn't happen lol. How long is the process? Has anyone been refused an OWP while waiting to be sponsored?

3. How do i add my timeline to my profile?
