How did you link your OWP app into your CIC account?

As same way as linking PR app. You can choose for OWP under temporary residence choice. Also at the really end of the page, you can chose something like "applied for OWP under family class in-land sponsorship".

Hi all,
I am Sep/2016 applicant waiting for my OWP.
I just linked my OWP application into my CIC account and now it says "Online Application". Is this normal? Of course, I submitted PR and OWP applications together by mail...
Also, it's been already 4 months and status says "Open", that's it.

If anyone has any idea with you experience, please let me know! Thanks guys!

Sent app+ OWP Sept 13/2016. When linked, my husband's OWP also says "Online Application". I called the CIC number and went through the robotic voice stuff. Even though MyCiC says the work permit is "Open" the robot on the phone said it's "processing".

Fingers crossed it comes this week.

My inland application we sent using courier(UPS) on August 3rd 2016(full application + owp app , with med test and clearance letter etc - i hope nothing was missed)
We prepared application ourself.

We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 24, 2016.
We started processing your application on August 23, 2016.

Got refund of 100$ that we paid(paid together with other fees late july) for future overstay on Nov 25 (email) and Nov 29(bank).

We submitted paper application and I never created CIC online and never linked paper app to online - should I? Does the status and some info really change?
I check mail everyday and I check online application status update on CIC application status update link (that never changed since August 26).

I am located in Toronto and my wife is PR holder.

The part mentioning Outland when you are logged in on ECAS is normal. Has nothing to do with your application. Mine mentions Outland, Inland and A federal skilled worker. They are there as a general help for ALL apps---not specific to whoever is logging in.

Yes, if you do not have a representative on your account, it's advisable by CIC to link your application on MyCIC. It's used, not only to provide more detail on your app, but it's a way of communicating back and forth with them when they need documents.

ECAS (the one you saw the outland info on) didn't used to be very reliable...really it still isn't--but it's gotten a bit better than it was. It's still the only option if you have a rep or want to see sponsor info. Basically, once the sponsor side says Decision Made - that means the sponsor is Approved (SA)....Once the Applicant side changes to Decision Made then you have DM (Decision Made) And should expect landing soon.

You may not hear anything for some time. They are working on applications received as of August 24th, 2015 right now. They are hoping to have everyone who applied prior to Dec 7, 2016 approved by the end of the year....so just follow along here or on the spreadsheet.

Only the Applicant application can be linked. So the applicant should create the profile and use their info to link.

I had to... you know that, right? I just....I couldn't resist.


By my guesstimations, that would put them in pretty reasonable shape to deliver on their promise of all backlogged applications to be completed by December. *IF* (big if) they continued at the present rate:

1 month (on the calendar) = 2 weeks of actual time, or 2 weeks for every actual week. So, we have 52 weeks to work with (give or take a holiday -- I think they should give a holiday up ), and we have 120 weeks to play catch up with (assuming they also want to show progress on new applications too -- also assuming the FIFO they promised it was -- and 120 wks is from Aug 25 2015 -> Dec 12 2017).

With 52 weeks of actual time, that means they could in theory process 104 weeks of applications (at present clip). They would be damned close to flushing the backlog completely. Unless my math went horribly wrong. In that case, my next career will be Horse whisper, or sales...

That's the spirit .

We are 190 days from the present "August 25 2015" date they announce on the automated attendant. So, that's 27.143 wks. 27.143 / 2 = 13.5715. Add that to today's date, and I am guessing my wife will be done on or before Monday April 24 2017.

I would be so happy with April or May 2017.

No one noticed I made a minor boo boo ... but that still puts my guess on the same date. *technically* Saturday April 22 2017 (so Monday April 24 2017 is the next business day).

What's your guess? My guess for you is: Tuesday May 2nd 2017...

LOL thanks for using me as an example...Here is what I suggest---if you all want to "play around" so everyone can see it....I can possibly add a separate worksheet tab to the end of google doc---and then you can add in your estimates---but it wouldn't update from any actual updates that come in. Unfortunately, "playing" isn't a reason to add an extra column that no one else would understand--since the application timeline sheets are used for actual data. Or as you mentioned, create your own book to work from.
