Congrats! We have very similar timelines so I'm hoping we get some good news to soon!

thanks! yea I'm hoping everyone gets moved up as well

Interestingly, in all my online profiles it still says "in progress" and nothing about "decision made"...

anyone with owp care to advise how long it took to arrive in the mail after being approved? its been 2 weeks so far and the pdf from cic said to only call to chase it after 6 weeks. I'm in bc so it will probably be different for us all but just so I know canada post is shocking and not that its lost......

Hey Ringlands :)

If I am not mistaken, they are still issued out of Vegreville AB. So it could br any time now. You can still look and apply for work. If asked, show the PDF and say, "it's in the mail!" That would likely be enough for anyone who would ask. You can also call and ask Service Canada if they can use your print out to get a SIN.

Assuming the PDF has a permit number, they can call and validate it anyway. It may take a few weeks to find work anyway -- so don't worry :).

God the typos! You can tell who has fat thumbs and is on a cell!

Np! To be honest, most places remit taxes every quarter. They already have an idea what to withhold. So the SIN isn't totally crucial for day 1.

question.. regarding the two columns in the permanent resident application
The "sponsorship application status" column is the one with the "decision made" under it.
But the "permanent resident application status" column is the one that just says application received.

I've been racking my brain around this the whole day...
I feel like I just jumped the gun in excitement thinking the invitation for my husbands landed will be in the mail soon... but is this process going to take longer because the PR column still says received not decision made??

Where exactly do you have this 2 columns? In myCIC account is only 1...
Anyway, my guess is that you have the SA and probably will be followed by the AIP. As I said, just a guess...

Oops, I've double checked with the spreadsheet, you got those in July. Ma bad! You should probably call them.

well I was looking at the columns through our application number..
if I look at it through my husbands uci number I only see the one column which says permanent resident application ... we have both SA and AIP

That's odd... I always check with the app no; when I use my details I get the "app received status". When I use my husband's (sponsor), I get nothing found. But that's probably because I am a mid July applicant and they didn't begin trhe process yet.
