Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

Not sure what you mean by general area and I live in Canada so I won't be landing anywhere lol ? Right? Because i'm already here. They haven't requested nothing. I had my schedule A and the IMM they were requesting from people, already submitted. CPC Mississauga has my application.

Landing is the process of becoming a PR. Until you have landed, you are a temporary resident. So, at the very end of the process, there is a landing interview -- this is where you will be granted your PR.

The general area question is relating to approximate area in Canada. Example, I know that my wife's local VO is Kitchener, and she will land there. Here is a list of local offices: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/help.asp . Different VO's have different rates for how long they typically take to process visas.

In terms of documents, those two aren't part of the document requests that have come out of the SIR. Did you respond quickly to those two documents being requested? When did they drop the note on your file about SIR? It was probably recent...

You just started... you have a ways to go yet. Unfortunately, they have probably done very little to your case other than create it in GCMS. What's your country of origin?

The SIR was may 27 the notes say. I never got asked to submit the documents. I sent them with my app. I was referring to the people who got asked for those PCC. I live in Newmarket so I'm not quite sure which VO I would be considered under.

Yeah understood. If you were identified May 27 for SIR, then you are probably coming up soon to have your case transferred. They won't announce it with another AOR.

If I was to guess it would probably be Mississauga or Etobicoke. Luckily for us, the VO is only 10 minutes away, and it's never busy.

Keep in mind, it was only a guess based on evidence before me. You didn't have to pay for that guess...

Also, the guess assumes the cases in those groups are not diverted by the local VO for interview as well. And, we only see 400 of the 75,000 in inventory. So it may vary a little. The bigger point is 8-9 months instead of 22, right?

Did you plan your landing party yet?

True. I wonder on which stage they asses your app as qualifying for SIR or not. Or if the program applies to apps received after June, 13 or not. Anyway, as I said, I ordered my notes pretty soon so I didn't have any high hopes to be enlighten...

They plan to continue SIR into the new year. I cannot say at what stage an application has to be, or what the cadence is for reviewing the inventory.

The only good thing about ordering GCMS notes is that they indicated that two e-mails were sent to us which we never received:
Note 1: Email sent requesting updated Schedule A and IMM5406
Note 2: AOR2

Other than these two notes, which could be because they required the two updated forms, nothing much seen in the notes. Good idea to order the notes just in case. I won't be requesting them for while.

Just hope I am added into SIR.

From the operational bulletin on SIR:

"These inventory reduction efforts will be supported by four factors:

- the Department’s renewed focus and priority on reuniting families;
- increased levels space in 2016 to facilitate the admission of more spouses and common-law partners for permanent residence to finalize existing cases;
- the expectation of sufficient level space levels in 2017 to continue eliminating inventory early in the year and to avoid the accumulation of new processing inventories; and
- supplementary funding of $25M to the overall processing network this fiscal year to reduce processing times."


Your cases are both in inventory right now -- they will end up caught up int he SIR
