Hi everyone,

Dumb question, but the application guide says to put barcode page(s) on top of your application. For the Generic Application form (IMM0008), we have 1 page of barcodes and the signature page has 2 barcodes as well. Do we put both pages at the top of the application?

Thanks!

I would still confirm with CIC, the more I read into this the more I feel QC as a different country

Welcome to Canada. It is a completely different place. Language, law, food, history, health care, much cheaper school fee, etc. That is why they keep want to seperate. Lol

Hi,
My parents do not have a marriage certificate. However both of their passport has spouse name metioned in it.

Is it ok if we submit passport copy

Thanks in advance

I totally understand your feelings but you will have to understand the reality/rules.

Can you submit NOA or Option C for 2013 at the time of submitting your application? I believe you cannot. Moreover, your income wasn't sufficient in 2010. As a result, your application might be returned by CIC. I am not here to judge. There is no problem to try your luck.

There are thousands of people, whose income is way over the minimum requirements since 2010 or earlier and they are eagerly waiting for this opportunity. Definitely, they will be in front of you in this lottery/game. Don't lose hope.

Best of luck.

Thanks, it's a shot in the dark, and even though this might be a good point for appeal, I know the practicalities of the appeal process mean that it will drag on for years, and my best bet would be to withdraw and start anew in 2015.

Let's hope for the best! :)

They can sign to declare they are common law. There is a form for it

You cannot appeal a returned application. You can only appeal a refusal.

Isn't it possible to appeal if they find the sponsor ineligible? There's a box in IMM1344 which we can check that allows this, I believe.

I know it's impractical because the appeal process takes so long, but it does exist.

Not if the application is returned as incomplete because you don't comply with the instructions. You require 3 NOA or Option-C and you have stated that you will not be supplying them. The application package will not even be registered on the system.

For People concerned about how they submit proof of income of 2013
Check this:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=825&t=14

From the CIC Website FAQ:
How can I show proof of income for 2013 in my application to sponsor a parent or grandparent?

The sponsor's total income will be calculated on the basis of notices of assessment issued by the Canada Revenue Agency for each of the three consecutive taxation years before the application was submitted.

A sponsor applying on January 2, 2014 will be required to provide proof of income for 2010, 2011 and 2012, given that the notice of assessment for 2013 would not be available at the time of the application.

Will the new PGP program be faster than the old one ?
Will it follow the current 42 months ?
Any ideas ?

No you won't even qualify to register an appeal.

And even if you could, an appeal would most likely stretch into 2015 when you could just as easily apply again when the program re-opens in 2015.

Thank you folks. Considering the timelines involved, I'm wondering if it is worth applying. If I do send in the application with Option C's from 2010, 2011 and 2012, (I don't meet 2010 MNI), when am I likely to find out about the refusal?

Is it going to be 42 months from now, according to the current timeline for step 1 for PGP? If so, can't I send the 2013 Option C say 3 or 4 months from now along with a letter asking them to attach it to my application? By the time they start processing my application, they will have the documentation they need and I should be eligible for sponsorship.

Your app will be returned as the income evaluation form will stop you right there. Considering the time, yes, I believe it will be 42 months + time taken by individual LVO's, see main parents thread as some have been waiting for 1 year + after file being transferred. I suggest you invite folks for super visa and try next year

According to IP02, you have to meet the conditions from the day that the application is received through to the day that a decision has been made. You would not be in compliance with this if you tried this method. It also states that income can only be reassessed downwards and not upwards.
