So frustrating. The delay is frustrating. The promptness is equally frustrating. :-\jhutti said:Thanks for sharing your time line
At rate of 10 seconds reception of one item. 360 items in 1 hour
First day 2880 applications in 8 hours
That means cc charging for 2nd Jan will keep going for a 2 weeks based on CIC
processing 300 applications per day.( with 60% pass rate)
8-9 am : 9th Jan or 12th Jan
9-10 am : 13th Jan-14th Jan
10-11 am: 15th – 16th jan
12-1 pm: 19th -20th Jan
1-2 pm : 21-22nd Jan
3-4pm: 23rd-26th Jan
Then from 27th Jan: 05th Jan cases will starts . I may be wrong in my analysis.
Few next days will see how CIC is progressing in processing applications

You may want to be careful allowing others to edit the spreadsheet. It is best that you do a backup of spreadsheet often to be safe. There was a number of cases whereby an applicant royally screwed up the spreadsheet and couldn't undo the mistake.jhutti said:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12uSEUDTf2Ab-GIgL6-icb0Qh9kxFwTzJWJ5jBf-Emlc/edit?usp=sharing

From my and other's experience it is a royal PITA having to redo the spreadsheet fixing someone else's honest major opps. There was no hard feelings towards the one that made the mistake and none taken. It was all a PITA to fix. LOL!! Just want to save yourself a possible trouble.jhutti said:okay I will try to backup this spreadsheet after every few days. Hopefully people will use it to edit diligently. It is for everyone benefit.

Last year I send my application through Canada Post. The tracking system showed Out for Delivery on 6th Jan and after that it was never updated as delivered until Jan 08 When I received file number from CIC it stated that Application was received on Jan 06.inLinE6 said:To those who also made bad decision by using Canada Post:
I received update today saying -
"Our tracking system indicates an 'out for delivery' scan for this item on: 2015/01/05.
Because the addressee is considered a large-volume mail receiver, we consider this scan as confirmation of final delivery. Accordingly, we will now proceed with closing the file.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience you may have been caused."
Then I called Canada Post looking for clarification. Basically, when Canada Post delivers large volume to a mail room, "out for delivery" is their final scan, and the time stamp is when they drop off the package. Once the mail room sorts things out, they do one more scan which updates the tracking as "delivered". However they may or may not do that last scan, not to mention signatures.
To summarize, consider the time stamp that your package went "out for delivery" as arrival time at CIC. Don't bother waiting for the signature. I'm apparently upset about their service but at this point, not much we can do. Keep fingers crossed and hope for the best. Good luck everyone.
I am assuming you know I am referring it for "Pain In The A**"winnipegger said:PITA? lol at first i thought you meant to write pity-its hilarious, i'm going to use that one too now ;-)
