Can you call me when you have some time, I want to ask you a couple of things if that's alright with you.

I'll return your call. I was up all night so too tired to talk on the phone. But I will call you later in the afternoon.

Okay, between 4 and 5 p.m. is a good time for me. If not, after 6 p.m. is fine too.

Good to hear that it went well! Skype interviews are the new trend. Hoping I'll get one too (as soon as I know what the hell our application timeline is).

Did you get my private message?

I replied to your pm's Can and cj

so that could be the reason why we haven't gotten anything about SA. That's the only thing I can think of but isn't it true that if the file is transferred and it's being looked at in Manila that CIC would have already approved sponsorship?

I assume you sent your original application package to CPC-Mississauga. This is where the sponsor is approved. So the sponsor approval ALWAYS comes from CPC-M, before the package is mailed to the outland visa office (in your case was Seoul). So the fact that your app is in Manila now, means you are 100% guaranteed to already have sponsor approval, though for some reason they didn't send you the email or letter. If you didn't get sponsor approval, the app would have stopped in Mississauga.

You can always call CIC and tell them you didn't get a letter, and they'll send you a new one.

What a pain in the @$$.

Manila definitely has it because I wrote to them about a week ago asking for an update and they responded with the bit about it being in a queue for review. I sent my CRC there as well so I hope (damn well) that it's in Manila (lol).

Calling CIC ... you mean call the Call Center or another number Rob?

ok, 700pm ish

Just got off the phone with CIC call center.

My SA confirmation was apparently sent out in July 2012. How it didn't find its way to me, I have no idea.

At any rate, that problem has been solved. Now the question is, how long til they request the passport?

Do you mean July 2013? Just wondering, because you said earlier that you started the PR process September 10, 2012.

Typically since Korean citizens have visa-exempt to Canada passports, there is no passport request required. They would just mail you the COPR to your home address after decision is made, and that's it. Although this was for Seoul office, i'm just assuming it works the same from Manila.

And then the COPR is the document that has the date for when my wife needs to arrive in Canada by, correct?

Yeah, sorry, July 2013.

If you sent your app to CPC-Mississauga in Sept 2012, why the heck did it take them 10 months to send your sponsor approval?? Typically this takes around 30 days max.

Yes exactly. It's your landing papers.

I was wondering the same thing. The other thing I was wondering about is why they would ask someone who has already been approved as a sponsor to submit a Canadian CBC?

Yes exactly. It's your landing papers.

Is it the same arrangement if you are already in Canada?
