Okay situation - 18 y.o Canadian (me) :) 19 y.o Dominican husband, I know were young but we love each other and were prepared to grow with each other in live. Anyways, I'm living in DR for 6 months now, and now we've decided we want to go live in Canada.
Should I write a letter with the application explaining why we want to go to Canada?
I don't want them to be like "Well why do they wanna go to Canada when they are already together?"
I have a letter from a college that I applied for but it just says that I paid the application fee and I wrote that it's because they don't start reviewing apps for 2011 until November 2010.
Advice what could help situation?

Also I've been working since I was 15 at a few different jobs will that make the officer feel better that I can provide or what? Since I'm young

ALSO :p we got married 13/08/09 is it too soon to apply? because they will look at it like they just got married and now they are applying even though they're together? (We also have 2 failed TRV visas before getting married b/c we wanted him to meet all of my family before we got married since he's only met my mom :( )

Sorry so many questions, I'm just really nervous about applying!

Hi, zabrina!

I think it's a great idea to include a cover letter with you application, mentioning the reasons why you guys wish to settle in Canada, and most importantly describing details about your relationship that proves that it is genuine and ongoing. Don't worry about applying too soon after getting married, this is why it's important to you to prove how long your relationship has been going on and how genuine is it. The truth is that gathering up the proofs of relationship, police records, translating them etc. takes a very long time (usually around 3 months), so if you don't have these ready yet.. you won't be applying too soon!
About resettling in Canada, you should definately include your letter from your college application. Are you going to stay with your parents for a short time after you come back? It would be great if they can provide a letter explaining they will let you stay with them while you look for a place, etc.
As you're a Canadian citizen, you do not need to prove any income. Student spouses have been approved without problems, look for their cases in this forum and you'll see, nothing to worry about. :)
I believe that should be more than enough to prove you want to settle in Canada. Maybe someone else in the forum can give you more ideas.

Hope this helps! :)

I would say wait and see if you get into the uni you applied to. Having an acceptance letter will probably look better than just an application receipt. It will show that you're actually going to go back to Canada

The thing is that they start looking at applications for the entire school so who knows when they'll get to mine maybe not till December, and I have to get home asap to start saving up for school, but I can't leave this country another time without my husband :(

If you are not already back in Canada when you send the application in, you will have to prove you will go back to Canada when your husband gets his PR visa. The school letter will help, as will the letter from your mom. Send these in even if you are back in Canada, because it shows you and your husband have planned for your future - which is evidence of a genuine marriage.
A letter explaining why you want to move back to Canada is fine, but you don't really need to explain why you want to come back to Canada if you are a Canadian citizen. Wanting to continue your education is a very good reason in any case.
I'd send the application in as soon as you can. The sooner you send it in, the sooner your husband will be here. Putting an application in right after the wedding does not look suspicious, as long as the couple has known each other for a long enough time (which seems to be the case in your relationship).
