Received AOR today! Application was received september 10 2015. But I already received my sponsor approval on september 21.

I have a question , how long does it take from the time they approve the sponsor until the visa office receives the file overseas ?

I have a question , how long does it take from the time they approve the sponsor until the visa office receives the file overseas ?

It only took 3 days. I received sponsor approval on September 21st from CIC and on September 24 the visa office in beirut started processing our application for permanent residence.

Hahaha I wish! No I have no contacts but I think my visa office has a lot of free time these days but I hope it continues like this.
The liberals' promises are exciting but it takes time for public policies to go into action, sometimes more than a year. So it is future immigrants who will benefit from it. But hopefully its a fast process

24th Oct today , still no AOR ...

anyone else with applications received on that date or same week, ??

My application was received September 10 2015 and I received my AOR on October 19 2015. There is always a delay so don't rely on it too much. If you can see that your package was received and signed it is a good sign.

Hey Tolexmi,

Mine was received September 3rd and just got the AOR yesterday, so I believe you should get urs by next week. Just be patient, I know is hard but just try to be positive Waiting is hard, I can tell you that even now that I got the AOR i'm checking mine & my partner's email every 5 min, and our online status, just to see if there is any update. ahahha

But one more thing, I heard a few people talking about checking online status, but am sure since i don't have a client number or anything, there is no way i can check any status online, isn't it??

Our application was received on Sept. 9 and we have not received AOR yet either. I would feel much better if they will at least send me AOR. I tried logging onto CIC.CA and entered our receipt # but it still shows they don't have us in their system.

Hey everyone,

You can only check your online status once you received the AOR, cause then is when they actually put in the system your file. CIC will send you with the AOR your UCI (for the sponsor) and your Application no (File no).

I was trying before we receive the AOR to log in with the receipt number and my UCI (sponsored person) but it wasn't working. We were apply to log in the day after we received the AOR with the sponsor's UCI & Application no.

Just hang on a few more days
