I don't think it matters, Jalex23. The BOWP lasts a full year from issue, by which time you should have your PR status granted. I guess waiting a while longer could be seen as playing it extra safe, but personally I would just get it done.Jalex23 said:Sent the application September 10th, got the email November 5th...
So now the next move is BWP.... would it be wiser to apply for it in early december or right away? My WP expires in february 2014.
Thanks!!!

Same for you, if you want your case on the spreadsheet, follow the link above and I'll add it for you. Yes, if you can already login that means the AOR is on the way.Pitchy said:Hi Toby,
I sent my application on september 5th, it was received on september 12th. i forgot to write down my email adress, so i hadnt received AOR letter yet, but when i checked online status, it shows, that my application was received! yahooo!

I dont understand this guys, my wife can't apply for a BOWP? I saw this at the link (For spouses of CEC applicants: there are no set preconditions to be met by the principal CEC applicantiam_toby said:BOWP processing times reduced again to 21 days.
I got this just now:iam_toby said:Can anyone who received AOR Nov-5th login to ECAS?? It's not working for me so far...
You don't need an LMO for BOWP applications. This thread probably answers all your questions...http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/tips-for-a-successful-bowp-application-t147650.0.htmlJalex23 said:Hmmm, yeah... I guess I'll do it over the weekend.
So just go through normal "Extend Your Stay in Canada as a Worker" will suffice? BTW usually when I do this they ask "do you have a LMO" no I don't and I have never needed it (IT didn't need one at least 3 years ago). I answer yes to continue (if not it just kicks me out), but what to do in this case when submitting my paperwork? Should I open a thread to discuss this?
Thanks a lot for the input!!
Your wife has to apply for an open work permit, not a BOWP. It's just a different name, same application tho.Felix14 said:I dont understand this guys, my wife can't apply for a BOWP? Yes, I'm getting the same message. AOR received 2 days ago, I'll wait for another 2-3 days and see what happens.Jalex23 said:I got this just now:
