I called at CIC today, they told me that the mistake on the copr can't be fixed at an office other than the one which issued it. She said email them and tell them of the problem and they will tell you what to do. I'm more confused now.Toronto2013 said:Thanks for the reply. I just received an appointment for landing at CIC office. So hopefully I don't need to go through the amendment process.

Thank you buddy. It does help for surerks0101 said:Hi Octanu,
The major errors - NAME, DOB, PASSPORT #, PASSPORT VALIDITY can only be corrected by CPC and that too must be done before landing.
Inland CIC office where you land can correct the minor errors of date of last and original entry.
Hope this helps!
Thanks..hope you get the PPR soon. My experience shows that we just need to wait. CIC works on its own timeline. You may want to contact your MP and check the status too. Good luck.gam786 said:Congrats. .they asked for my 2 years past history but haven't asked anything after that...

Thank you amendment was easy. They updated the COPR with correct dates.nov1061 said:Hi Toronto2013.
First of all let me congratulate you and secondly let me ask you how was it going with the amendment process. If I remember correctly your CoPR needed some correction.
Thanks for your confirmation. The correction done this way is convenient and much easier than starting an amendment process taking not less than 6 months.Toronto2013 said:Thank you amendment was easy. They updated the COPR with correct dates.
Absolutely. CIC gave the appointment also pretty quickly. Call center agent took my request and I received the appointment email from CIC the next day with the appointment date in 10 days time. Not much of a wait. Very convenient.nov1061 said:Thanks for your confirmation.
