Hello All,
I also sent in my application in Sep 2013 and I got an email from Ottawa Pilot asking for my RCMP clearance but I am going to do tomorrow electronically and send it directly to them. Is that advisable?

Also, if I may ask a few questions:
1) where can I update the excel file?
2) On 8th November 2013 I got an email from CIO (centralized intake office) saying that my file is considered complete and that my application has been forwarded to the visa office for further processing... Should this also be considered as an AOR?
3) If the above is not an AOR then should I be concerned that I haven't gotten my AOR but rather got a request for RCMP clearance?

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thank you.

Follow the instructions of the email about RCMP.
1. Put your details here, Toby will update the excel file. The link to the file is on my signature.
2. Yes, that email is contains your File Number (aka AOR #).
3. Few other September applicants got RCMP request, so it is normal.

Hi guys, I am also a Sept. Applicant. Just need your advise. We just renewed the passport of my husband because its expiring. Do we need to inform the CIC about this changes? And if needed, how or in what way through email? Thank you.

Scan the passport and email it to CPC-O. That's all you have to do.
Check my website for insturctions on how to properly address an email to CPC-O.

Updated the spreadsheet. Guessed the application received by CIO date, hope 23-Sept-2013 is correct.

Guys,

Did the RCMP Clearance request from CIC come by email or snail-mail? :)

Email :)

I could say I haven't received that from CIC yet, but everytime I say that something from CIC always materializes in my inbox within 12 hrs. ;D

Add @cic.gc.ca to safe senders list ! If you use gmail, add filter such that it is flagged as important, flag it and never send to spam ..

Toby, you guessed the date right, but my e-cas status when I try to look up my file says unable to provide information. I am guess I am waiting for e-cas to update as well. Hence I didn't think that the email I got on 8-Nov-2013 could have been an AOR.

something two worry about if e-cas doesn't update?

If the email you received looks like this one >> http://cectoolkit.weebly.com/aor.html then it's your AOR.
ECAS becomes unavailable every now and then. Try different variations of names and surnames etc.
Have you been able to login to ECAS at all??

I have quick question for u Toby based on trends...do people who get RCMP have their eligibility pass in gcms.. If yes then 5 month is good time to check eligibility isn't it

Yes, try different variations and also try using your receipt number to login instead of your UCI.
Play around with it, if you don't get in, maybe call up the CIC hotline if you're inside Canada.

Not sure about that. I still think that criminals and background checks are the first things that're performed by CIC.
With the new rules in places we're yet to see in what order the checks are performed.
I requested GCMS notes in Jan 7th, so I should get them by the end of this week and I'll get back to you after that.

Hi Guys, I applied in Sep and got RCMP request and I have got the fingerprints done. I am expecting the papers in 3-4 days time after which will send it to CPC-Ottawa. Any idea what is the average time for people to get Medical request after RCMP?
