Great news!! Others from September should be receiving such requests soon as well.

RCMP request- pretty much a Canadian Police clearance/certificate. Not required to submit this with your application since CIC does this check using your name. If your name matches that of someone with a criminal record then CIC will request RCMP clearance which is done with your fingerprint to clear your name.

Thanks,

I was wondering why they asked for it as I was expecting the Mexican Police Certificate....

Makes sense, though :(

Hello All,
I also sent in my application in Sep 2013 and I got an email from Ottawa Pilot asking for my RCMP clearance but I am going to do tomorrow electronically and send it directly to them. Is that advisable?

Also, if I may ask a few questions:
1) where can I update the excel file?
2) On 8th November 2013 I got an email from CIO (centralized intake office) saying that my file is considered complete and that my application has been forwarded to the visa office for further processing... Should this also be considered as an AOR?
3) If the above is not an AOR then should I be concerned that I haven't gotten my AOR but rather got a request for RCMP clearance?

Any assistance is appreciated.

Thank you.
