@Kalam_gohan: When I applied, I included a schedule of fees for the first year (all possible expenses, including tuition, accommodation, miscellaneous, food, transportation) so that the visa officer can clearly see how much is you funding compared to the estimated cost of studying and living in Canada. But you can submit a fee schedule for 2 years if you have sufficient funds to back it up. If you have like almost $45,000 worth of liquid cash then that's fine. I opted to just include a year of possible cost siince I'll be opting for a 5-year MS-PhD program.

I am confused about one aspect about the application. If you apply online , when exactly should you submit your original passport at VFS
SHould it be immediately after I apply online or only when I recieve the confirmation from Delhi.

My course starts August 5th(Simon Fraser). The reason I ask is I need the original passport for my CFA exam in june 1st and If have to submit it now I have to miss that exam(which i want to avoid). I am from India btw.

Also online the original passport seems mandatory for the medical exam.

@Prash_17: Were you able to received an email confirmation from the online visa facility that your application was successfully lodged? There's a sentence there saying that you don't have to send your passport right away. You will be received an email notification saying you should now send your valid passport for visa stamping...

No i have not applied online yet. I plan to this month, I just want to know how long after applying online do we have to submit the passport before I start the process. Also must I submit again all the docs at the VFS which I scanned and submitted online (my visa agent says this is the case).

@Prash_17: If you are to apply online, you only need to upload what is being asked. Any other documents that the visa officer needs from you after a preliminary assessment will be requested via email notification; and this will include valid passports and police clearance. As far as I know, the average handling time is still the same as with paper application. No need to send hard copies of the documents upon applying unless originals will be demanded by the visa officer.

no not yet... but u just applied 11 days back...... in CHC islamabad its 4-5 months processing time in most of the cases..!!!

I asked because a guy has recently got medical call, he Applied on 10th April and got med on 30th April.

what all of u think about reply from CHC?

I am a law graduate. and doing work in the legal department of well reputed bank from 03 years, planning to join Sep-2013 session in mohawk college in diploma of legal administration program. what are the chances of my visa. i have good statement of mine(Rs.20 Lac) also having a salary account for monthly expenditures(Rs. 50,000).I also having my father statement of Rs.50 to 60 lac).
