Got my visa a few days backs....applied on june 3rd university category!!!Some has got it sooner, so it means they are processing almost at normal schedule.

Its good to know that study permits are still being processed. I spoke to CHC yesterday, though they weren't specific they said they were giving priority to temporary Residence permits. For the guys who have after applied in June we might be ok. But the huge backlogs will affect those applying...

No i have not applied online yet. I plan to this month, I just want to know how long after applying online do we have to submit the passport before I start the process. Also must I submit again all the docs at the VFS which I scanned and submitted online (my visa agent says this is the case).

I am confused about one aspect about the application. If you apply online , when exactly should you submit your original passport at VFS SHould it be immediately after I apply online or only when I recieve the confirmation from Delhi. My course starts August 5th(Simon Fraser). The reason I ask...

Anyone showing FD's as the major source of funds for living expenses? My living expenses comes up to 6-7 lakhs and I am showing only 2-3 lakhs in savings account and about 10-12 Lakhs in Parents FD's. Will this be ok? Also plan to place some recently acquired funds(genuine not fake borrowings)...

Always show more than the required amount , just to be certain. Also Im sure a Fixed deposit for that amount would be viewed as better security than recently transferred funds so just place a deposit two months in advance before applying.
