@teo, @andrei, how are you? have you found any solution? i wish you both to get the PR faster!

@romancuta, I was processed in Quebec and I expected Bucharest to ask for my CSQ, but they didn't. No idea why they need the CSQ in Montreal, does he currently lives in Romania? If you don't trust that email :-D you can also call the call center and ask them. My husband called several times that phone nr because I had different questions.

You can see in our timeline the steps, it seems now they are moving faster!

Hy everyone, fortunately i have contacted the embassy of Canada in Bucharest and they told me to send my passport to Ottawa. I sent my passport here

PO Box 9780
Ottawa, ON, K1G 4B9. My passport is in Ottawa since yesterday so hopefully I will get my PR soon. I really hope that #Theodorix got the same email. I have already bought my airplane tickets to Romania with Turkish airlines when the embassy sent me the email but when I contacted the airline company they refund me all the amount that I paid for the tickets. Lucky me !!

Hi guys/ladies

We received an email today asking for a new Police certificate/check. I guess this is good news... but have a question for you all : do you know how long it usually takes until they ask for the passport?
I think most of you received the same email since the Police certificate (cazier) is valid for only 6 months (and we put the papers in Nov 2014).

Hi guys!
I sent my doc to the Embassy of Canada in Romania and the envelope is already in Europe. Hope to get the passport back soon.
A few days ago I sent an email to the Embassy to change my address and they've answered me today saying that I can send the passport to Ottawa It will take a few more days then if I should send here in Canada but it doesn't bother me, the most important thing is to get everything back

@ smack, they didn't ask me to send another Police Certificate but it may be because I sent one with my Visitor Visa application in April. This must be a good sign as they are working on your file!

They didn't ask me to resend the cazier but yes, it means they are working at your file! I think they work faster now, at least until the elections :-D

I checked the online status today and they just changed it to in process since 1st of July! We ended up sending the CSQ last week and I hope that is all we need to send! Does this mean they have been processing us since July the 1st? I am so excited!!! I hope it will be a fast process and I will have my husband in Canada by Christmas!!!! How is everyone else doing???

I got document request from the VO now.

I am wondering if they will try to approve us before my medical expires.

They said we have 30 days to submit our stuff and that we must rush because medical expires Oct. 3.

I think no matter how we rush it, Oct 3 is really close... ??? ???

Read the previous posts of CutiePie, she had to redo the medicals and that took some time, so better send these documents as fast as you can and be prepared, they should give you the PR soon enough, considering your timeline! Depends how fast you want to leave

My husband is the one from Romania. And he would like to have left yesterday, if you know what i mean.

It's been a year since we are apart.. I read CutiePie before, and that's why I am worried. I don't want application to keep dragging on and on.

What the fastest way to submit passport and get visa back? in person? what you guys think?

Hello, you cannot do it in person. At least from what I know and from what I had in the email "Please do not present yourself in person at the Embassy of Canada in Bucharest; you will be directed to the CVAC."

So when it will be the time, your husband can go to VFS (if he's in Bucharest) or send them the papers via courier, or send them directly to the embassy, but still via courier.

Also, maybe it helps: "Generally, a final decision will be made within 15 working days."

Did you send already the additional documents? I really hope you will manage to get the visa before medicals expire, sometimes I think they can extend them a bit, but I'm not sure, I remember I read something on this forum.

I do hope you guys will be together very soon, I can totally relate to the situation..

hi guys ...I am in the same situation like you ...waiting for a visa...My husband just send the applications 2 weeks ago ...we have to wait 56 days to get approved ...and then ll have to wait for Bucharest to approved ...How long do we have to wait ?...I read on that site ...and I m already scared

They started processing my application on july 31; you think it's 15 or 17 months in my case? And do I count the months from july 31 or from the day they received my application? It's been almost 1 year and it is still "in process" step "3. Medical results have been received."

I just would like to inform you that the processing time for Bucharest VO is 24 months now.
I think there is no need to be worry.
well you please share your time line ... when did you send the file ? PER ? and when did you receive your medical request ?

Hey ...can you please tell me from where do you know that the processing time for Bucharest is 24 months now ???...because I m looking on a site and I see 17 months ...Thank you very much !
