The entire medicals situation was a mishap last year. In the months of July/August 2015 (If I recall properly), there were a few rejections because the medical report said EDE instead of non-EDE. This was apparently a mistake by the CIC medical team. I believe all applications that were rejected because of this were re-opened.

EDE = Economic Demand Exempt (This is applicable to people who are applying visas)
Non-EDE = Non Economic Demand Exempt (This is for people who are applying for PR)

The former checks if the applicant has some serious contagious diseases (for instance, TB) while the latter checks if the applicant has any disease that will be a burden on the Canadian Healthcare system (for instance, Cancer - Needs chemotherapy etc which might be expensive and would be a burden on the publicly funded healthcare program) in addition to the contagious diseases check.

However, these rejections have disappeared since then and I haven't seen any rejection because of this lately.

Hi All,

I have provided multiple address in Background Declaration form to SINP as i have lived in around 5-6 addresses(different states) in India in last 10 years.

Will PCC also have all those address, or bears only latest address?? And from where to get PCC done?

My passport got renew recently and it bears my current address.

What is CIC expectation on this.

Thanks
Tavneet

I just had my PCC issued for me for past stay in Qatar through their embassy, the problem is it is addressed to "Embassy of Canada in Egypt" not CIC, will this be a problem?

Just 1 PCC from PSK. PCC from Indian State Police = Straight CIC rejection ( as per current trend)

Be careful since I have heard about rejections due to PCCs from Qatar not covering the whole period of stay (starting from the date of work permit issuing and not from the date of entry into the country). Regarding your inquiry, I think they don't really care about to whom the PCC is addressed, what really matters is the period covered especially with countries where the PCC is geography &/or time bound.

Learning about your rejection makes me worried. My PCC also has a different address but both are in the same city, how about yours?

I'm not from Pakistan but I assume CIC applies the same principal everywhere.

Thanks,
That is my situation also. Ouch.

But psk pcc will also cover the period from which the passport is issued and verify the address that's on the passport will not verify all the address in last 10 years. So basically even if your pcc from other police station also verify your current address and period your current passport is issued and have your current passport details that will also work.

PCC issued by psk and the one issued overseas have similar content it doesn't specify any timelines just mentions that the person doesn't have any history and visa can be issued..they just check in some database to check the if there is any police history/ red corner notice etc..i can confirm they don't check the address physically because mine address is if college hostel..

only those PCCs are being rejected which are time bound or address bound. PSK pcc does not talk about address or time. it clearly says "there is nothing adverse against this person because of which person will not be allowed to travel to foreign countries including Canada". so this PCC should work for all places. and I also think it depends on VO also. sometimes they are not that strict with wording of PCC.

Hi All,

My emedical says -

IME: EDE
Upfront medical type: Family-EDE

Is this correct for Express Entry PR Application ?

Thanks
Rahul
