Reasons for Rejection

Hi friends,

I applied for CEC in Dec 2014 and got my application back in Feb 2015 saying the cap was full.
Then I built my EE profile and got an ITA in June 2015 for FSW although I wanted and was fully qualified for CEC and the system was still new then. So I applied because I was scared of refusing my ITA to get a new one like some people here did. I sent in my application 20 July 2015.
I waited all this time and last week I got a refusal letter saying my foreign work experience wasn't a whole year (which is what I had said in the tool) so it would have made my points less than what the invitation draw was for at the time! Shocked

I didn't ask for those points! and I did everything right by their system and declared everything truthfully.. I had every document carefully prepared.
I just answered everything truthfully from the system, and their system was the ones to give me FSW invitation! I'm so upset! Angry Cry Cry

What should I do now? How can I appeal? Do I have to reapply?? How can I say that they should have processed it as CEC and I lost all this time because of their mistake with the system?

Please help!

Thank you

I am not able to recover my password for my GC key. In case I make a new profile and add my Nomination certificate number will I get the 600 points in my new profile? or do I email Ontario with all the Information? As they would take around 2 weeks to reply.

You would need to talk to Ontario about this. You need to request them to transfer the nomination to your new profile.

We cant do anything about that. Its just part of the process we have to go through. Create new EE profile and fill this experience correctly this time.

Be strong! These times will test our limits, and now you know the issue, so you can do correctly this time.

I am sorry to hear about your rejection. But if you had read the guide, it said you need to have 1 year full-time continuous experience to be eligible for FSW for whatever points you are claiming for. Just recreate your profile and apply again under CEC

I am sorry to hear that, don't lose hope and do the following:

1. Create a new Express Entry profile
2. Completely leave out the less than one year foreign experience
3. Set your funds to 0
4. When asked if you have a valid job offer? Answer is "No" unless you have an LMIA approved job

The above steps should qualify you for CEC and hope you will get your ITA very soon.

How much time did it take you to get PPR after submitting your application? And under which category did you apply?

Hey,

I am very sorry about your refusal. If the work experience indeed brought your points down below the lowest ranked candidate in the draw, it is the job of the officer to refuse the application. Now, you don't have to beat yourself up. Vent out your frustration, go out on a trip, have a couple of drinks and get back on track. Please be advised that you can apply again and there is every reason that you will be selected this time - If you do it right.

1) Create a new EE profile.
2) Do NOT declare ANYTHING that does not give you points. I mean it.
3) Get an ITA.
4) Apply again and get selected.

It is in times like these we need each other - when our patience and tolerance is tested. You might not know us and we might not know you but we can support each other and get through this together. So, pick yourself up and get started. Let's get your new application made. If you feel the need to ask anything, feel free to post.

I wish you good luck and all the very best!

About to send e-APR after ITA on 6th Jan 2016.

CIC ask for Bio pages of passport only. Also, they ask for Travel history out of your home country/country of residence. I wonder how they will correlate travel history from just bio page of passport only?

Do I need to submit scan of complete passport or only Bio pages as asked by CIC? Need practical advise and could it be a reason of rejection for not submitting complete passport scan?

I have seen people on this forum who say they were rejected for only uploading the Passport information page. to be safe why not upload all pages (blank and those that have Visa stamps). It's one less reason for rejection.

You can try to be safe, but the point is, you will fill travel history as well and they would correlate it using their contacts with border agencies during background checks. Reviewing stamps of passport is the last thing I would expect CIC to do. Besides this is what they ask for now and I know countless people who only submitted bio data pages and got PR. Don't know any one who doesn't. If some one vaguely cites this as a reason for his refusal, you need to dig deeper to ensure it was actually missing passport pages (if you are that interested). Often the reason is some thing else which the applicant doesn't agree to / doesn't want to cite here whatever. Also there is no end to this. How about previous passports? Especially if you had a recently new one made where you have visas on the previous one. CIC also doesn't ask for work permits even if you already have them. So every body choose on his own. I attached bio data page of previous passport along with visas and work permit. But I never added pages with stamps. You have to decide that yourself.

Thanks for your detailed response.
I will attach bio page of my current passport only that is asked by CIC. Even the visa stamp pages don't make sense in this case. However, I will provide all details in travel history.
Other question is if I mention country of residence other than my home country then I don't need to include travel to country of residence in my travel history. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
