9 months is just the estimated time. It can be shorter or longer depending on the complexity of your application and your pesonal factors
29/04/24: Online Application
14/06: AOR - Account linked - Police certificate requested for wife - Brazil
17/06: Biometrics completed
21/06: Received Police certificate
02/07: Police certificate requested for me - Ireland (I applied before receiving it because it was around 60 days to get it and I didn't want to wait)
03/07: Received Police certificate - Email with Pre-arrival Letter
04/07: Requested Medical Exam for both
05/07: Completed Medical Exam
11/07: Medical Exam Passed
05/08: P1 received and replied saying my wife will be out of Canada from X for Y days.
21/08: P2 received - only in my name.

PR confirmation portal email (P1): 2024-08-05
PR confirmation portal email (P2): 2024-08-17
eCoPR: 2024-08-20

For me it was around 15 days until next step = PORTAL 1
- You get an email asking to copy the template (inside the body of this email), reply the email, paste in the body of the email, answer the questions and send the email.
Some questions to answer: UCI, name, email, height, eye color, when last entrance in Canada, where was it, If you are in canada and other questions.
- Wait for the second email - Portal 2 - Click in the link, login in the portal. Add adress, photo, and SUBMIT.

I will say that it is pretty long timeline though. I will keep prayerfully waiting.
Typically after AOR it goes fast unless there are some issues with your background check. Good luck
