Hello everyone.
Any news about the new PR receivers? (in 2015)
3 guys got their PRs in December 2014, and one received PPR yesterday. All of them had PEQ and applied in Nov/Dec 2013.

Hello Turki,

Yes, it might lead to a problem. Because when you fill the forms for PR under CSQ, you sign a form that you intend to reside in Quebec. If they see that you're applying from another province, they might think you already moved there with no intention to come back. Also, they will ask you for all the addresses you have lived at since you were 18. So they will see that your current address is outside Quebec. So it might be tricky. Even if you put a Quebec address for mailing address, if you don't specify that your current address is in New Brunswick, and they discover it later, it might cause your trouble (because you would be concealing information from them).

The processing of the PR will take anyway at least more than 10 months. So if you intend to come back to Quebec afterwards, then it should be fine. The only issue is how you want to prove that in your application.

Thanks for your suggestions. I will add all my addresses since last 10 years including my Fredericton address, though I did not move a lot :).
From my understanding, after getting PR I have to settle in Quebec that I will obviously do.

Hi, I'm in the same situation... Any news for you?
I think that they are prioritizing the application for FSW from outside Canada...

...and you sent in your application 2 months prior to me. I guess I should stop checking my mailbox several times a day. ::)

Hi All

I didn't send them with my application, because the guy from Montreal Police said they would certainly request them again. When I called the CIC they told me if they need it they would request them.

Seriously?

I'm still waiting for instructions. It's the 16th month now. Sydney acknowledged receipt in Nov 2013. My visa office is Singapore and according to them it's 18 months to process the application.

Should I follow up?

My application status just turned to IN PROCESS after almost a year. Do you know how long it will take for passport request?

I'm not sure about the processing times in Singapore, these guys all applied in Canada. You can always send them an email...
