A guy from another thread said that he and his two other friends applied in November/December 2013 after getting CSQ through PEQ. They got the PR visa in December 2014.canada88 said:Do you have any friends who applued based on PEQ program and He or She has got his or her PR recently?
Please notify when they applied and when they got their PRs?
Thanks
Did you get any status updates?canada88 said:I applied for federal stage on Feb 2014. I did my medical on April 2014. Is there anyone else in the same situation? I am still waiting for my PR.
Thanks
I see. Well, you should be hopefully getting something in the next couple of months.canada88 said:The last update was in may 2014.
Well I sure hope so!Marlee said:Apparently there have also been cases where it merely took 8 months.
I'm also wondering whether the processing times will decrease now due to the change of the system. It is evident that they now have a lack of incoming PR applications since everyone applying under Express Entry will require an LMIA which is issued by Service Canada and not by CIC itself. The volume of incoming PR applications will significantly decrease in general since the system is making it almost impossible to acquire a positive LMIA, hence only a few lucky ones will even get to the stage where they are able to submit their PR applications. Considering that the LMIA process takes about 1-2 months, CIC now should have enough time to work on the backlog.
At least that's what I hope they are doing. They better are! I want my PR!

My friend got it in 8 months. He applied in early 2013. My other friend who applied in December 2013 didn't still get a status update that says the application is in process! :/
When did you file your PR (federal) application?
Sometimes it takes about 3 months, and with all the holidays, you should expect it very soon. You can also email them. I did so, but it took them like a month to reply.MAX_87 said:I sent papers for federal step at the end of September 2014 and still dont have AOR....
what do u mean "under the new regulations"?Marlee said:It was filed on December 8, 2014.
I am still scared that it might be returned for whatever reason since I would then have to resubmit it under the new regulations (which is pretty much pointless). And getting married to my Canadian boyfriend for immigration purposes? The most unromantic thing ever!
Not to mention the extra time it would take to reapply under the Family Class...Jesus!
