Thank you Still Hope for your reply, I get even more confused, especially when the website mentioned I qualify. Please confirm/contradict the following - where am I going wrong with my calculations?

Education - BSc (Pure Sciences), 2001 - 10 points (Undergraduate diploma attesting to 3 or more years of full-time studies)
As per your education point check on this link and it will show u how much point you will get.

http://www2.publicationsduquebec.gouv.qc.ca/dynamicSearch/telecharge.php?type=7&file=GPI_3_1_INDE.pdf

Validated Employment offer - None - 0 points (6 or 10 points depending on in/out of Montreal)

Work experience - total 9 years, 2002-2011, full time - 8 points (48+ months = 8 points)

Age - 31 years - 16 points (18-35 = 16 points)

Language proficiency - French - High beginner (will clear DELF A2 in the next 5-6 months) - 3+3 points its fine u want to send your application later.
Language proficiency - English - Advanced - 3+3 points

Stay & family - None - 0 points

Child - 1 child, 2 years old - 4 points

Financial self sufficiency - Not a problem - 1 point

I will talk about my wife's chances of applying as a principal applicant later ... thanks in advance.

Ok I think better u can decide what u want to do. U want to apply as a single applicant or married because one side u want to say that u have spouse and kid and other side u don't want to include your spouse in your file but u still want to claim point for your kids.

So it is little confusing for us to calculate your points.

Regards,

Thanks again Still Hope - here is the summary then:

Education - 10 points
Work experience - 8 points
Age - 16 points
Language proficiency - French - 6 points
Language proficiency - English - 3+3 points
Financial self sufficiency - 1 point

Till here, keeping my kid and spouse out, I am at 47 - is it safe or clear rejection?

What are Training points? Cant I claim any? A B.Sc. graduate in India does not have any relevant area to practice, but I have an MCSE 2001 certificate (Microsoft Certification in Computer Networking) and my first job was into computer hardware, will it help claim some points there?

Thanks very much for your guidance so far...

Regards,

hi,

thanks for your post which are helping every member in just a quick question if you pop to website of quebec skilled worker and if you ll take self evaluation you ll find diplomas not degrees strange

Could you please share with him the link to bible of quebec I am sure it will help him a lot. I have download but I don't have the link.

Thanks

Quebec_2012,

in my opinion, you should not leave your spouse & kid out of the application. make sure you apply for the CSQ for them also. do the whole thing together and then if and when you get the visa you can decide if you want them to join you later. this sponsorship thingie is a long drawn affair and you wouldnt want to go thru this whole process again after you land.

score of 47 is not enough to make the cutoff. even if you dont include spouse, kid. since ur a married applicant, your cutoff etc is diff. ( i could be wrong, anyone have a diff opinion ? )

you have left out ur AoT points. check that out too.
The diploma or degree must have been obtained in the five years previous to applying for Quebec immigration. If this is not the case, the applicant must have worked for at least one year out of the five years in a field directly related to the diploma or degree obtained.

I av rescheduled my flight for 12th..... will av my Maple leaf by MONday by God's Grace

My friend as per Indian bachelors degree u will get 6 points not 10 that's why I send u the link, but I feel you didnt bother to c that link or u don't want to follow the link.

As said by the Quebec2011 that is the bible of Quebec immigration and u will get all information there.

And. Secondly your degree is more then 5 years old and you are not working job related your course. So that's why u don't get any point for your area of training.

Thirdly if u r married then u cant apply as a single applicant.

hey guys i was looking at the documents that i need to send for the certificate of selection. it says to send "a copy of your marriage certificate, if you are married or, if you are a de facto spouse, the official written proof of your co-habitation for at least one year (e.g., civil solidarity pact (Pacte civil de solidarité – PACS), copy of a lease, bank accounts, electricity or telephone bill, cohabitation certificate (certificat de concubinage) issued by your municipality, etc.)"

do i have to send a copy of my bank accounts, electricity or telephone bill if i have a spouse (which i dont) or should i still send the documents if im a single applicant.

are they asking this to show proof of address?

thanks. :)

shay89, since you dont have a spouse, yet ;) dont worry abt it.
all those things are required, if ur married or cohabiting.

but to answer ur qjuestion, no bank a/c, telephone bills are not reqd.

:)
