Hello everyone,
I have just received the bad new that our app didn't make it in the 500 CAP, so we would like to apply for Quebec. That is so sad to hear that you couldn't make it.
I have a couple of questions in regards to obtaining the CSQ.

My spouse is the principal applicant and she is a nurse. She took both a IELTS test (English) and a TEFaQ (French).

1) Do I also have to take both tests also in order to apply for CSQ? You don't need to take IELTS for Quebec but if you take a French language test you will be awarded extra points for that. So, you can file the application meanwhile you start learning the French.
2) Since nursing seems to be one of their priorities, do you have any idea how long the CSQ process might take, given we're applying from the US? For priority applicants it takes almost up to six months and in case you score 63 without adaptability points even you will not be called for the interview.

Thanks for your inputs and good luck everybody!

you mean stillhope, it would be possible for me to file for CSQ here in montreal and not need to file to my home country? yes u can apply from montreal
thanks so much!!

@ Lev,
i have just one word for u...... do it right.
u av entered a legal contract, and ignorance is not an excuse.
rather than ruining the chance for ur dependants to come join you, why not preserve this chance by allowing ur dependants to apply excluding u. by they filing their application, u will be able to contribute to their points cos they will state in the form that their mon/dad/ as the case may be is liing in Quebec...
the live in care giver class gave u a super fast entry into canada and when u are now there u want to ditch that stream that had brought u in... i also will like for u to bear at the back of ur mind that all CSQ applicants must necessarily sign a document titled: Declaration of intent to Reside in Quebec.... with all thse if u should apply, u might just give urself away as someone who cannot honour a contract... which might not be good for either u or ur dependant.
while filing the DCS form, u will be asked ur current place of residence, what do u intend to put there? that u are in Philipines? of cos not. u ll state ur are in Montreal..... now the next thing will b for u to prove to them that u are a legal residence of canada hence ur prove ll give u away as a live-in care giver..... they will check the daates and voila, case dismissed....
i will suggest that
1) u continue serving ur 2yrs contract while u allow ur drependants to apply on their own
2) send a mail to BIQ-Montreal and ask for their opinion if u can apply..... it is well

Hello

Can anyone help me for some questions.

I received my file number (AOR) in august, and now waiting for my interview...

when do they calculate the points? after the interview or its already calculated? since I received the file number....

how long usually it takes for the interview after file number?

Thank you

Hi Guys,

In the CSQ application form,

4. Family members who may or may not be accompanying you in Québec. It is imperative that the principal applicant declare all the members of his
family.

If I'm single and don't have any children should I leave this blank. I don't have to mention my parents or siblings details right?

Thanks

they havn't counted your points yet and if your area of training is in priority then u can expect your interview with in 3-6 months if not then expect 9-15 months ( due to lot of application ) and also depend upon your visa office.

good luck

Thank you
