Hello mkshah,

Thank you so much for helping me i really appreciate your time on my case.I kind of understand a little bit better how to do my points thank to you .If you don't mind me asking how can i be sure i fall in group 2 ? because your education Computer Support (DVS - 1,800 hours / 2 years) which falls under the secondary level vocational training on the list of area of training is in GROUP 2 list.

For the one year experience after getting my diploma in IT , yes it is on my field of studies , i am working at the moment with an IT company as computer support specialist and systems analyst ,does it mean i get the 6 points ?
Pls refer to the below text for group 2 as published on quebec website:
You belong to Group 2 if one of the following situations applies to you: You or your accompanying spouse hold a diploma, awarded by an teaching institution in an area of training allowing you to get 6 points under the area of training criterion of the selection grid for skilled workers (see list, in French, 38 kb). The number of years of study required to obtain your diploma must be at least equal to the number of years required to obtain that diploma in Québec. This diploma was obtained less than five years before the date of your application. Failing that, you must have practised, on a full-time basis and for at least one year out of the five years preceding the date of your application, a profession or trade in an area related to that diploma.

Le Manuel D'immigration is getting me kind of confuse cause i thought like you said that my associate degree would be with the two years a secondary level vocational training but when i see the equivalent of an Associate from the US it's a college level technical training ,so how would i get the 6 points with the Computer Support (DVS - 1,800 hours / 2 years) which falls under the secondary level vocational training on the list of area of training? Does it make a difference that i am working as a computer support specialist on the IT field ? This is so confusing ! Thank you again for your help and good luck on your case.

yes as per the degrees comparitif chart, you associate from the US is equivalent to a college level technical training of quebec, and you will get 8 points of education for this.
However your AOT Computer Support (DVS - 1,800 hours / 2 years) in in Group 2 List so you will get 6 points for AOT.
I hope now things are more clear to you. :)

I already sent an email specifying my errors and asked for them to give me a chance to correct the error that I committed but there's no response yet.

Should I sent them a courier which contains my letter of apology for my mistakes and the correct information that I had missed?

Please, help me throughout this. :( :-[

Thank you!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but your application could be rejected on the basis of misrepresentation:

Refusal of Application:
Applicants can be refused at anytime during the process of the application, for any of the following reasons:

Responsibility of the Quebec Authorities:

• Financial reasons
• misrepresentation (failure to be truthful during the application or the omitting of information)
• non-compliance (failure to respond to the immigration officers requests and/or failure to provide the information within the deadline specified
• inadmissible of family members (family members must also comply with these requirements)

I will probably write them before the AOR is issued and notify them of the error. I would have told them its a mistake on my behalf and if an opportunity exists for me to correct it and how. Once they instruct you follow that instruction, the longer you wait the more dishonest you may look. This information was taken from http://www.rsscanadaimmigration.com/en/process/sworkerq.php

Please be CAREFUL in notifying them about your mistakes, so that they dont FLAG your file RED...just wait a few more days
to hear a response from them. They recieve so many applications and maybe they have not even open your package...But just be careful in your disyurbing them with emails and stuff....wait few days and see if they will reply

Hi guys,

Yesterday I talked in my BIQ Montreal, Mr.Mark Thomas was on the phone, I asked him that I 've successfully complete my DELF B1 and I want to update my application which is already in process before 6 December 2011 for gaining some points, he replied with below link and told me to download form "AA-0520-MA" which is related with update or change in already existing application, so it is confirm that language points are not locked.

http://www.immigration-quebec.gouv.qc.ca/en/forms/search-title/dcs-workers/index.html

Rest all these conversation I send an email (to almost 4 BIQs) regarding the same issue, but unfortunately I do not receive any response as yet I'll post the reply as and when receive.

But what do you mean that there is still no change for QSW?...Because l notice in the QSW form that they want you to demostrate your last 5yrs and they checked your original certificates and work histories during your interview...but on the FSW forms they are asking for your last 10 yrs histories and also saying you shouldn't add any other supporting document EXCEPT POLICE REPORTS because they will get them from Quebec....So l am a bit confused if it was during the interview/ CSQ selection stage that the BACKGROUND CHECK was done

Dear,

At the PR stage they verify each and every document by their agents in your country based on notary public attested copies which you provided them at CSQ stage (mean they send their agent to verify your degrees, your experience certificates, your residence as well as criminal records too) that is why they ask PCC on PR stage.

PCC is Police clearance certificates?...I think that means SECURITY CHECK?...While Degrees, experience etc verification means BACKGROUND CHECK...Now the BIG question is WHAT HAPPENS AT THE CSQ SELECTION PROCESS?...Because during FSW-PR stage they dont ask about your supporting degree and experience proof anymore
and on the Quebec webpage they only mentioned FSW will check your Security and Medical addmisibilities for final approval.....

I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT INDEPTH OF WHAT REALLY HAPPENS IN THE CSQ SELECTION STAGE SO THAT, OTHER PEOPLE CAN BE WELL INFORM AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT IT...Not just sending applications and getting them rejected or returned!!!

Anybody with useful information or experience should comment please

Thanks

Dear Mkshah,Javed, hec and other Seniors please comment!

In my whole application process when i updated BIQ with my DELF certificates in 2011 and in 2012 i never use the A-0520-MA apllication form which is used for Changes(i just write a letter and attacch the required documetns). Because I was of the oppinion that as i processed my application in 2010 & it was not the general practice than to update everytime by using this form.

My question is What should i do now..Should i send them the A-0520-MA form with all the documents which i already submitted to them or not.

thanks

plz evaluate my profile

i have been a silent spectator in the forum for quite a while now i would like to get my profile evaluated ..
qualification b.e chemical engineering in 2010
experience working in US mnc for 1 year to be precise 10 months
age 24 years
ielts expect 7 band in speaking and atleast 7 in listening
financial self sufficiency no problem
french delf a2 with 24 in production orale nut just 13 in comprehensin orale
will soon be giving delf b1 and delf b2 together and ope to pass in both want to apply by end of may
plz rate my chances as per recent changes in selection criteria

also i was going through forms and i have several queries related to that..
1.if i submit with delf b2 by end of may and then i continue taking classes and pass dalf c1 can i submit it at a later stage will it increase my points in french or will they lock it permanently
2. in the new forms availaible on site they say certified true copies required, do i need to get them attested only by institutions who have issued say my degree marksheets or my school marksheets or can i get them notary certified instead
3. for language proficiency in english and french the form A1520 AA titled documents submitted in support of application for selection certificate says that i have to submit original does that mean i have to send them original delf and ielts marsheets and TRF or the notary certified copies will suffice.
i am not getting how can they demand original diplomas or ,marksheets of delf
4. also for the birth certificate they say true certified copy which means i have to go the authority whuch issued birth certificate which is very difficult here in india can i just submit notary certified instead

plz guide on these and i will further post my queries as i have lots of them...

thank you

Hello vickyRocks,

I had also updated my French result in the same way( by sending a letter). They had accepted it and sent me email confirmation.

But, I think, it is better to send this new A-0520-MA-dyn form with update and to attach all the documents with it. There will be less chance to miss the updated documents because, when they will go to count your points, they will check two form ( application form + A-0520-MA-dyn form). As per the information provided in these two forms, they will collate the documents.

Yes, definitely in our time, there were no form like that. But, I think after December, 2011. They have attached this form. So, it is better way to update all things attaching this A-0520-MA-dyn form. If you send the Documents again, then clearly mention in a letter that you have informed them previously and mention the dates also when you have notified them. Because there is a 30-Day time( from the date of change to date of notification) limit to make them informed about the change.

Hi vickyrocks,
I m sure you sent the original certificates to update them about language test results in 2011 & 2012.

Now, if you wish, there is no harm in sending notarized/true copies of the same certificates along with A-0520-MA form which is used for updating changes.
Also attach a copy of the letter which you have written to them previously at the time of updating about language test results.
