From what read about TCF there're 6 questions in speaking part and 30 in the listening. Also the overall duration of both sections is 45 min which is less than TEFAQ. I don't know the estimated level of difficulty for TCF because it's not offered in my country. Based on what I read in different threads most of applicants took either DELF or TEFAQ.vicky4frendz said:Hi Ievgen
Thanks for replying, however I assume that there's a negative marking in TEFAQ but same is not in TCF..
Also I think TCF is also having 2 modules; listening and speaking only... So I'm getting confused now between both the exams.. :-X
Pls check out below link... http://www.ciep.fr/en/tcf_quebec/index.php
As you mentioned negative marking in TEFAQ, this is the case for listening part. You should answer only if you're confident. Otherwise it's better to leave a blank because incorrect answers are penalized. This is different from other standartized tests (TOEFL, IELTS, GRE) where you shouldn't leave any blanks as guessing might give you credit.
However, if you're trying to prove beginner/intermediate level then the type of test to be taken doesn't make that much difference.
Best of luck for you in any case.
