Folks, quick update: just received RPRF.
"This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose."
One step closer.... :)

Congrats marcomcarneiro :)

Guys, if anyone knows, is it normal for ecas to update with a line like the following for RPRF and Medical Request? We got those on July 11, but we're wondering if we possibly missed a request for additional docs. Is this message in ecas usually only reserved for additional docs or RPRF and Medical can also get this?

Can anyone who got the RPRF and Medical see if this line appeared on their ecas on that day (without a request for anything else)?

"We sent you correspondence on July 11, 2016. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required."

Thanks mgazi :)

Vinc360, nothing as such on my Medical or RPRF.

This line is in ecas and not on the RPRF or Medical emails. Does your ecas still have just 3 lines above medical received?

Yes, just the three lines (four counting Medical Received).

Yes that's right after my medicals received status. It was updated on the very same day and it referred to the RPRF since they indeed asked for RPRF the day this message metions. :) So in total I have 5 lines.

Oh so you got that same message too! Glad I'm not alone :D I got medical received and I can tell RPRF was attached properly since using the receipt number works. So you got that line in ecas too but didn't get any request for additional docs? I guess we're all set then! :)

Hi guys, a few questions. I will start my Federal stage of application soon,
First, do I need to send them notarized copies of my educational certificates with the application? If not now, will I require notarized documents at a later stage?
Second, I am in Canada since last 4 years. Do I need police clearance certificate from Canada and/or my home country?
Third, in the application form IMM0008, CSQ number is Numero du dossier or Numer de reference individuel?
Fourth, just to confirm, I will have to send original copy of CSQ?
Fifth, my ielts score expired before the federal application, do I need to send a new IELTS score? My NOC is level A.

Thank you.

1. to my best knowledge, educational certs are not required for QSW at the federal stage. But i have seen ppl sharing that CIC sometimes actually asks for them (I am really not sure in what occasions would that be)
2. You don't need PCC from Canada; but for all countries that you have stayed for more than 6 months since the age of 18, you will need to obtain the PCC and submit the originals alongside your application.
3. I was recently asked by a friend of the same question. I checked my dossier and my answer is : The CSQ number you need to put on the application form is the numéro de dossier on the CSQ, that is, the one that looks like C0001234567. (that is, item 2 on the CSQ).
4. yes, you have 2 original copies of CSQ from Immigration-Québec, one for requérant (applicant), another for Immigration-Canada (you should locate this somewhere at bottom-right corner of the copy). Enclose the one for Canada (original copy) in your application.
5. scores for language tests are not required for QSW at the federal level, like #1, the checklist for the application should show clearly that these items are only applicable to FSW, but not to QSW.

Hope these answer your questions. Cheers

Hi Smearingo, thank you so much. This is perfect. Last quick question about Police clearance certificate. Can I get the PCC from my Embassy in Canada? I have done that previously for another application.

you can get PCC from your embassy, however usually it takes quite a while. If you have some friend visiting your country you can ask them to get one for you.(if it is possible)

The embassy take 10business days and they are very good. I am actually travelling home tomorrow and hence want to know if it is advisable to get PCC from home?

Thank you again and have a great day.

Hi,

I was wondering if you receive correspondence like this?

THIS IS A REMINDER EMAIL - PLEASE READ EACH SECTION CAREFULLY TO SEE IF IT APPLIES TO YOUR APPLICATION. FOR ANY DOCUMENTATION OR CORRESPONDENCE YOU SEND, PLEASE INCLUDE A COVER PAGE THAT LISTS YOUR NAME, DATE OF BIRTH, UCI AND APPLICATION NUMBER.

I paid RFRP after this.
