Did anyone in the Montreal area go to Medisys clinic for the medical exam? They sent an email to us with proof of medical exam, and I'm wondering if that means they didn't send it to CIC via emedical and they're expecting us to do it ourselves somehow, and if we need to send this proof of medical exam to CIC?

Hi Vinc360,
I've taken mine at Clinique de Médecine Industrielle et Préventive du Québec, got the update today (exams taken the 8th of july, so 2 and a half weeks later it was updated). Now I have 4 steps showing up, although status is still In Process:
AOR..................................: 21-01-2016
Application processing started: 22-03-2016
Med's Request.....................: 30-06-2016
Medical results have been received (no date, status added today, 27-07-2016)

Do you guys know what happens now? Just more waiting? Does anyone knows how long, if so?

Thanks!

Have you paid the rprf? I also did my exams on the 6th but I have no status updated that they have received them.
However, today I got the request for the rprf. Does this mean they have received my medicals?

But the next step after medicals is rprf and then passport request i think. :) ;D

I haven't paid it yet. Just learned from a friend that you can pay despite where your process is, so I may do that now. I'm not sure what happened on your case. If you got the rprf I would assume (just a guess) that they are at least looking at your records.

Yesssss I think it's medical --> rprf --> passport!!!! Nearly there now! ;D
As an additional comment, this friend (also applied from Montreal and is QSW) is on a very similar status, but it's being a month and a half since he's done his medical exam, and no news yet (although he paid rprf before even medical).

I got RFRP request 1 week before medical. I don't think these steps are dependent on each other...

Hello All -

I applied through MON project and received document checklist from MIDI few days back. I am from India and currently working in USA.

Appreciate if someone can answer below questions.

Q1. I do not have birth certificate from my Home Country's ( India) Civic Hospital / Municipality. My entire life I have used Passport and my High School Mark sheet as proof of Date of Birth. Is their any alternative for me besides getting certificate from Indian Civic Hospital/Municipality? I checked on New York - USA consulate website and they only provide a letter that just says that DOB as per Passport is XX-YY-ZZZZ. Most of the times this letter is useless.

Q2. My Bachelors degree ( plus few other documents) have text in Hindi ( One of the Indian languages) and as per MIDI , I need to get every document with non-English and non-French text translated. So far I have been unable to find a recognized translator in USA tri-state area that can translate documents from Hindi to English. Any suggestions?

Q3. How are you guys preparing "Certified True Copy" of Educational Documents. As per MIDI , only following can certify educational documents:
a) Document Issuer - My Indian University is very hard to reach out to.
b) Notary from India - Notary from India are available only in India and I am in USA.
c) Indian Consulate - Indian consulate in NY won't certify documents issued in India.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Hi ALL
I just received the VO notes regarding my application. I ordered the VO notes on June 24th and received it yesterday.

It shows that, until June 24th, I have passed the eligibility, criminality and medical examinations. For the Security, it is blank. I think the VO is checking Security level of my application.

Regarding the location of my paper dossier, the latest location (on June 24th) is "Location: PACE", just after being placed in "Location: RVF Check".
Regarding the notes of VO, the latest VO notes shows "Appears RFV" (on June 24th).

Questions:
(1) Anyone who knows the meaning of PACE ? It may be the internal departement or stage for the Visa center. I have no idea.
(2) I heard that RFV means "Ready For Visa" or "Require Further Verification". I think it should be probably "Ready For Visa". But, why it is noted "Appears RFV" ??

Any ideas about "Location: PACE" and "Appears RFV" ?
I hope you can help me to understand.

My timeline:
Sent from Montreal to CIO syndney = OCT. 2015
AOR = FEB 28, 2016
MER = MARCH 18, 2016
RPRF paid = APRIL 22, 2016

Folks, quick update: just received RPRF.
"This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose."
One step closer.... :)

Congrats!! We are very close in dates :)
In my rprf email it doesn't say anything regarding security etc like yours. ::)
Was your status changed to medical received by any chance?

Hi charlottemontreal,

I've looked this up and as far as I can tell, it looks like it does mean Ready for Visa. I bet it just means it's going through final approval and your PPR/COPR is juuuuust around the corner :D Best of luck to you and keep us updated!

On my side, I just saw ecas updated to Medical Received! Now we just have to wait a little more :D
