Guys, is there any way we can look up the current processing stage CIC is at, apart from ECAS? Mine hasn't been updated since 5 January 2016, even though I was asked for a settlement plan in Quebec almost two months ago.

I think it is normal. As you already sent medical upfront there is nothing much left to be updated in ECAS, you will be asked for Passport after normal processing time.

To answer your question. You can request for GCMS notes to get more details on your application

Hi ALL
I just received the VO notes regarding my application. I ordered the VO notes on June 24th and received it yesterday.

It shows that, until June 24th, I have passed the eligibility, criminality and medical examinations. For the Security, it is blank. I think the VO is checking Security level of my application.

Regarding the location of my paper dossier, the latest location (on June 24th) is "Location: PACE", just after being placed in "Location: RVF Check".
Regarding the notes of VO, the latest VO notes shows "Appears RFV" (on June 24th).

Questions:
(1) Anyone who knows the meaning of PACE ? It may be the internal departement or stage for the Visa center. I have no idea.
(2) I heard that RFV means "Ready For Visa" or "Require Further Verification". I think it should be probably "Ready For Visa". But, why it is noted "Appears RFV" ??

Any ideas about "Location: PACE" and "Appears RFV" ?
I hope you can help me to understand.

My timeline:
Sent from Montreal to CIO syndney = OCT. 2015
AOR = FEB 28, 2016
MER = MARCH 18, 2016
RPRF paid = APRIL 22, 2016
Hi Charlotte, You and I have similar dates so I figured it wouldn't hurt to reach out to you. I called CIC today and got the nicest lady who looked into my application without giving me any troubles.

She told me that I had completed all the checks (i.e: background, security, medical etc etc) and that my file was sent for review on July 21st. She told me it was only a matter of time until I got word from CIC.

So let's hang on, the end is near!

Hi notsodarkblue
Thanks.

It is probable that CIC has some kind of "production line" which treats our applications in a collective manner. i would image this kind of team work method. They have quite different internal departments and project managers to check and analyze our documents. I guess one application would be checked and verified by at least 15 or even much more departements or agents. They have separate tasks. And finally, when all these verifications are done and without any doubt, the application will be forwarded to one final VO who is senior and very very experienced and only this final VO will sign and finalize the application.

So, many of us are just waiting for this big VO's signature, which would take even several months to wait because of a long wait list on his or her desk. Maybe this big VO is now on vacation......I believe this big VO will return to work end of this month or next month.

So, we can only wait quietly. If the time limit of 13 months is expired, then we can write to them or make a call. No other choices.

Hey Guys just a quick question.

I am working in ontario right now with a permanent job.
I just completed my 1 yr in canada as work experience.
My EE score is 460 still waiting to get invitation.

If i apply for Quebec , will this have any impact on my EE appliation or with Ontario PNP i ll apply in future.
Also can i withdraw the offer later of Quebec nomination after getting it.

My sole motive is to stay in ontario and waiting for Ontario PNP to open up.

I am taking quebec as a back up plan, if nothing happens from EE side i might accept the quebec offer.

Also Can we get the nomination from Quebec and still work in Ontario till i find a better job in Quebec Huh?

If you apply for Quebec, there will be no impact on EE or Ontario PNP. Secondly, federal/Ontario have no information about Quebec CSQ program. They won't know about it untill you will apply with a CSQ.

Now your 2nd question is a bit tricky. I have a friend who was working in Ottawa (Ontario) but living in Gatineau (Quebec) to apply through Quebec Skilled Worker category. He had to commute for half an hour to the work.

I also saw a fellow forum member who had a job in Montreal(Quebec) but he was living in Cornwall(Ontario) to get Ontario PNP. Again 1 hour commute to work.

Otherwise it is really hard to show your intention of moving to other province while you have a job in another province.

Hi,

I am working on Ontario and have got the Ontario Province interest letter(Waiting for AOR). Can any one have an idea whether will it create any issue for my Ontario application if i submit for Quebec.

Thank you.
