Dhana - Watnxt is correct. You have to land in Canada BEFORE your meds expire. If not, you're looking at a few more months to get the whole thing done.

Wedding is important. But this is gonna cost you and your wife a lot more heartache and money and patience. if you really wanna be there for the wedding, u better land in toronto and fly back once u get your PR card.

But if I was you, I would give my cousin a nice wedding gift and wish them good luck and just hop on a plane to canada

How long does it take to do Redo-Medical, because it is Difficult to go Canada and back come again. it is better stay here and redo-medical and go to Canada, can you tell how long does it take do it again and Travel to Canada.

Well a friend of mine had the same issue. Visa was issued and had to fly out before December. He didnt' go and the whole process took a while.. He didn't land here until May.

Flying to canada and returning to SL is on your hand and on your control. But when give you visa or ask you to redo med is not no ur hand and control. That is something you dont want to risk. They may also think that you are not interested in joining iwth your wife. So it is better to come here...that is what I will do

ok Mel and Watnxt thanks. then my Medical will expire on June 25, will they issue my Visa before end of 25th of June. how do i confirm that whether they will issue it before end 25 of June or take more time than that.

Dhana your asking questions that we all want answers too.

As you know, we don't know when they will issue the visa. They have been known in the past to issue it on very short notice right before the meds expire.

That may or may not be the case with you. You might get it, you might not. If you haven't heard back about it by the 25th of June, you can be assured that it will take a few more months.

they mostly give just before med expire. I am expecting you will hear from them first week of June or something. If i were you then I will check with them mid of June in case of not hearing from them.

ok I went to Embassy only one time ( in February) then they told it is processing, until end of 6 moth Processing Period they cant' tell anything, I hope to go there again, but my Bother in Law told me it is better if I don't go there always. then they will do the processing speedy.
is it true, doesn't it matter if I go there now ,

My lawyer said the same thing. She told me that they get really annoyed with you and that in turn might cause a problem. We were advised not to go or contact the embassy at all.

She kept telling me that people that just let it ride through get it faster as long as they don't disturb or question the embassy.

I just spoke with my lawyer lady guys.. Our one year wedding anniversary is coming up on the 23rd of June. She said that hubby should apply for visitor visa and see how that goes. We are planning on applying on the 8th of June

its a huge risk, but we have a great excuse - our anniversary and we are going to make good use of it

One of my friend's friend got right after 8.5 months. She arrived this month. All others applied after I did..so no update with them at this moment.

yes but watnxt i think u will get the visa before august.

i mean hubby has to go back to colombo either way if they dosen't get the PR and only gets visitor visa, which is fine by us..

we don't want to break the rules watnxt... just want him to come for a visit so that we can celebrate our anniversary together and spend some time with each other.

i started writing the letter to the visa office today and will mail it along with everything else tomorrow

oh i'm excited and nervous.. mom didn't get the visa when she applied, so i hope they will approve him..
