NewYorker did you already summit your papers to PGR? Did you sent original passport or just a copy?

Yes I have to send original passport, but you don't need to send if you have voter card of Mexico. I have submitted it and waiting for the outcome now and my deadline is in few days not even weeks. This is the most stressing episode of my life in my recollection.

I lost my voter card I only have a paper copy, but right now I'm on early stage of waiting my AOR and Medicals from the AINP Program, so I have time to figure out what to do with this PGR thing, keep us posted.

Did you sent a letter to CIC asking for more time? Explain the situation don;t let the deadline come to you with send them something.

)

I am with NewYorker this is the most stressful time of my life too!!!..... I had to travel to Mexico in less than 4 days to request police certificates from Monterrey and Mexico city.... and I'll need to travel again to pick up PGR PCC.... hopefully this will end soon for all of us!!!

BTW I am planning to send original PCC with translations...

Yes, that's the way to go, I guess this is the requirement for the people already living in Canada or may be because of some circumstances which I don't know. I am not going back again in the line and start this process with the Canadian Embassy in Mexico, I have no time and no where they have mentioned this.

So just play dumb and send everything translated and certified and see what they says. I want these days to end.

Yes I have asked the time in advance, however looks like I will be only few days late and I do not think they reject you on the same date of your deadline. I agree letter for explaining delay helps, however that's not a guarantee but it sure cool down the IO.

Finally after a loooooooooong stressful wait I got the PCC from Federal, the funny part is that it has just the name of the person, No Date of Birth, No Picture and No Passport Number.

I have no idea what kind of rules they have and how the IO is going to believe just with the name that it is the same person.

What the heck, I just want to get it over with...

Congratulations, funny they didn't add the picture or anything that you mention, it just said that you're clean and that's it?

Actually my contact just scanned the report and send it to me, it has all their stamps and watermarks on the paper, however it doesn't have any Picture, DOB or Passport number of the person, I am not sure if there is another paper which was attached to it, I will find out when I will receive it.

FBI report also has only name on a letter, however the original fingerprints set is stamped by FBI and attached to the PCC. They (PGR) took 3 set of fingerprints, may be a set of fingerprint is attached to the report that I don't know.

Funny you mentioned about the 3 sets of fingerprints... When I went to the consulate they told me that I needed 3 sets of fingerprints along with certified translations... I told them that I would do that in Mexico... and when I traveled to Mexico they only took one set of fingerprints... but they took fingerprints from every single part of my hand....

BTW Congratulations...

Yes, rule changes with the weather - But no complaints here as I already got it. I am looking forwards now and will try to forget this hick-up.

But when it comes out, don't expect your picture on it or DOB - it will be just your name.

Ab_Mex...I would appreciate if you can let us know what happens...it is really weird that they are asking you to get the Federal Police Report from the Canadian Embassy in Mexico City. I'm going to apply for mine in the following weeks so if we learn something from your case is going to help us out to figure it out what to expect.
I asked about the instructions to apply for the Federal PCC to the Mexican Consulate in Calgary and they told me that they can apply for it on your behalf but it will take a long time to get it. They will ask you to go and pick it up yourself. They won’t' mail it to the Canadian Embassy in Mexico or any other place in the world.
New Yorker already got his -Informe de Datos Registrales -...according to him there is just a letter with your name on it saying you are not in the criminal data base, something like that ...it is yours the same? I
Please keep us posted.

Some information I just got from them

Hola buenas tardes

And I think the fingerprints has to be translated to Spanish as well.
