I'm applying for PR via Express Entry (Canadian Experience Class), and I recently saw an update on my tracker saying "We received the police certificate(s) you sent us." The thing is that I've lived in two other countries besides Canada. For the first country, the US, I could upload the police certificate at the beginning when submitting my application, and at the time of submission, they posted the same message acknowledging this. For the other one, Colombia, I had to wait until I received a request letter from IRCC before requesting and uploading this police certificate. The completion of the Colombian Police Certificate step can sometimes take several months up to a year, according to others. Therefore, I have been proactive in asking about updates for this. However, when I recently saw the update on the tracker, it occurred to me that this update could be related to the Colombian police certificate or the Canadian one. Does anyone know if it's customary for IRCC to post updates like this one "We received the police certificate(s) you sent us." for Canadian police certificates? or do they only post these updates for foreign police certificates? My background verification is still "in progress" more than two weeks after the update, so they are still waiting for something else. It would be great if IRCC could specify which police certificates they received on the tracker, but they don't do that, so if anyone could share their experience, it would be highly appreciated!
