It is very complicated to get the CURP, but you have to be in Mexico...you should write an email to PGR to ask how to do the paperwork from US.

AlberMex I have a friend from Mexico already in Calgary and he just told me that CIC ask him for PGR certificate from him and his wife. He mention that he travel to DF to get it, CHALE!! more stress!AlberMex said:

Very stressful....you have to be in Mexico to get it....Your friend applied in Mexico city visa office?........if yes, please ask him his processing times.........I am driving crazy because I don´t have anybody to compare similar times to me....I have almost 5 months waiting for medicals........... :-(

Oh My God, Very Stressful.
I go the letter from CIC, interview is waived, medical requested with RPRF in 60 days, they gave me 90 days for the Mexican police report and 10 days are already gone.
I do not have any Marriage certificate as we are common law, where the heck I am going to bring the Marriage cert and this CRUP, what is that, don't they accept the passport only. Why I have to go to consulate? Do I need something from consulate also??
Does the Mexican Consulate know what is it and can they guide at least what to do. I found someone in Mexico who can do this, but he still need the stuff needed from us, and what is needed is all vague. There is no Website where it says what is needed. many people are saying several different things which is very confusing.
May God help us, looks like police report is more difficult than the PR itself.

Hello again...try this link to see if you can get the CURP..this is for Mexicans only....if you are a foreigner you don't need the CURP....I belive your spouse is Mexican so she can try in this link.

Following, you will find the web page for all the information you need to get the police certificate...if your spouse lived in other place than Mexico City, (+18 years old )you will need a State Police Certificate from that State...those are a little easier to get...

And about your marriage certificate...go and see a Notary or a Commissioner of Oaths to certify your common in law relation ship....that will be enough to probe you live together...

Tomorrow i will go to downtown to get my CURP...but anyway I will have to go to Mexico city to do the PGR stuff.

Here is my situation, I do not need any police report from Mexico, I never lived in Mexcio never even put a step. My common Law is from mexico and she need this report, therefore I don't see from anywhere that a marriage certificat is needed because it is pointless.
She Do not have voting card, and do not have CURP, we don't know what it is and there is no way I can get this within 70 days I have.
So to get the Police report I need CURP and voting card? if to get this, it take 50 days then I will fail to get the report. She called to Province and asked for the report and it is real easy and they give you on the same day. However they have no idea how to get the federal.
If you know, can you please put it this way,
FOR EXAMPLE;
Documents Needed;
1. Passport Copy Notarized
2. 4 photos etc.
and so on.
This will give an idea what is actually required and if it is our reach.
