Now, my file is on the way to Ottawa.

Anyone citizen from Nepal who is in canada got PPR and dependent spouse is in back home in NEPAL .please share the experience for sending passport for spouse to visa office and the time of recieving passport back.i guess visa office for NEPAL is Delhi India.just curious.thanks

I received MR by email two weeks ago but my ECAS is not updated to that. It still just shows Application Received as before. Is it normal?

no i havnt got PPR yet.i got Dm on 19th this tuesday .and called cic next day so the agent said it has been approved .i guess now the next step is PPR so just wanted to make everything ready . hahaha

Yeah. thats true...VFS building got damaged and is closed. One of my friend recently went to New Delhi to get his COPR and visa stamp. It took a day to get that done apart from travel. tara suneko Yak n Yeti bata VFS le office run garne plan ma chha re ( within a week or so ).

can we even get passport from nepal and submit here in cic or not? or do we have to send our dependent passport in india?can we even travel to delhi visa office after the email and get stamped by the dependent herself ?

If you can get your dependent's passport here in Canada, then you can send them together to Ottawa. However, I have heard that commercial couriera like FedEx, DHL etc do not carry passport from Nepal. In that case, the only option left would be to go to New Delhi Visa Office and get it stamped. If VFS is operating from Yak Yeti, then they would take care of it, if not then she has to go in-person to delhi. In that scenario, once you get your PPR email, you have reply back to them to request for getting her COPR and Visa from New Delhi.

It is very normal for ECAS to not update for a medical request. They typically only show medical received, and that may take a while. Don't worry.

a few months for you since May/June applicants are currently being prioritized now.
