No, i never did or paid anything upfront. As you will see from my signature n profile info, rprf request came a day before medical request.

Hmmm, ok. I thought you had. I see you did medical on 4th May. When did your ecas showed MR and IP?

I suggest you call them and ask if there is any documentation required.
You might have made that India trip in vain!
Also it takes about 2 weeks from sending of passport to getting it back with visa.

I wonder if CIC relaxed a bunch of rules to process things faster. I was sure my PCC was expired(over one year since I filed) but they never requested a new one.

I will call CIC and check if the agent can see any notes on my file regarding the second PCC.

Your PCC is good as long as CIC receives it within 3 months from the date of issue and there have been very rare instances of PCC being requested a second time. The only logical explanation I have for CIC relaxing the requirement without a representation from my end is that name change was done almost 11 years ago and was a minor change in the spelling of my first name.

I've received DM status today. Called CIC call center this morning, but agent couldn't tell me what decision was made.

Keep trying and probably you will connect with a CIC agent who would confirm that your application is approved. In my case i tried thrice before I spoke with an agent who would actually confirm that my application is approved.

You are absolutely correct.

I just called CIC the fourth time today. An agent has congratulated me and confirmed that my application had been approved and sent to Ottawa.
He informed me to be patient and wait for PPR, which he was in no place to predict when it would happen.

Congrats....you should receive the PPR mail either tonight or early next week.

So I called the call center and unfortunately didn't get a decent answer. All the agent said was that we are still in the 17months time frame so it's still ok, and if we're already past that time frame, that's the only time he can contact the visa officer and ask about my application status. So I was persistent on asking him to at least give me an idea on what part of the process my application is, and again he said he can not do that unless I'm past the 17 months. It's so frustrating. I am a June 2014 applicant, been IP since March 17 and still no progress

The wait is killig me, especially that most applicants on our batch are getting DM and PPR now.

Sometimes it takes 24 hours before the system updates itself for the call center agent to see. It happened to me too.

Yes, it is. I paid my RPRF upfront, and I haven't heard anything from them since September, 2014. Call CIC few times, nothing but " blah blah blah 17 months blah blah blah", request GCMS, nothing really in there except it shows my application was "In Process" since Jan, 2015. But once again, ECAS's still MR.

Good morning friends,

I received PPR last night. My application went In Process on May 14th, DM on May 20th & PPR on May 21st at 9.00 pm MT.

What came as a total surprise is that I have yet to submit the PCC under my previous name.....Maybe CIC had a change of heart!!

I am thinking of sending the PCC to CIC anyway as you never know they might ask for it on a later date and the PCC would be passed its validity date (3 months).
